I agree with you with social media. If you find a nice place to ride or hike, keep it to yourself. People find out about the best places and ruin them. Next thing you know there's a bunch of rules or it gets closed. Seems like city people have no respect for wilderness areas.

man I love that area. in my 20s I did a lot of trips to Cape Alava. Something special about that area.

That overgrown section has a washout and barriers about 1/4 mile from where it starts. I was up in that exact same spot w/ my T7 a few months ago.

Just got back from Lake Topaz & Lobdell Lake, been looking at video's to see where different ride leaders trail head up to Mt. Patterson. So did you come out of the Sweetwater Ranch? Your clue of stopping at Belfort Ghost Town would seem that you came up BLM 198. Did you go bye Wheeler Peak on 226? Anyhow your video showed I would be riding right at my limit, chunky-rocky roads with not two many boulder. Do you have any other trail heads up to Mr. Patterson?

Do you still use a gopro to record? Mine is giving me lots of issues and it's driving me crazy. Overheating, frozen video but all audio is fine, and now it has flashing green and purple tint that flashes so fast it's unwatchable. How do other youtubers do it? How do they capture such good looking helmet cam video?

Put new tires that are supposed to be better in sand but now I can't go above 60 without death wobbling. On the d605's I could get to about 75 before it would start shaking. Any idea what I did wrong? You ever had trouble with instability at highway speeds?

I have 3 ruckus. I just don’t tell them they aren’t off-road adventure bikes. My oldest one is beat to crap with almost 5000 miles, a 2016. Still running strong. If I could somehow find a way to stay on roads posted 25 mph speed limit, I’d cross the country on it. I have the same windscreen, same problem every time I took it on dirt roads. Use lock tight then tighten the heck out of it. Been holding for a year now. Thanks for the video…..cool trip!
