I add sauerkraut to boiled beans (red kidney beans for example), add some mayo, gherkins if I have, and grated fresh carrot. Can add any veggies really. Mayo is key!

Why not use sea salt in your ingredients .thats the reason myself and associates has stoped puchasing your products . Would love if you would use REAL sea salt. Normal table salt scratches arterial walls causes scarring and causes issues with vein health.???????

Does it get any better than Bubbies? The only store in the area that carries the Kosher Dills has been out for 2 weeks. Luckily, I had a jar of sauerkraut, so ordered 5 jars online and a jar of the horseradish pickles just because I couldn't resist. I have 1/2 pickle or 2 forkfuls of kraut every mid-afternoon for good gut health, however I could probably eat half a jar of their products per sitting if I let myself. It's my afternoon treat that I look forward to! Love my Bubbies!

Bubbies Kosher Dill Pickles are my FAVE pickle! I'm a pickle snob and prefer pickles that are naturally fermented and not in vinegar. Here's a tip. When you've finished the jar and there are no more pickles left, DO NOT (I repeat) DO NOT toss the juice. SAVE the pickle juice and put in more cucumber (OR shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, bell pepper, small tomatoes, red onion, etc.) The juice will make it taste WICKED! 😛

The fact that these pickles have become so hard to find only drives more value into the precious moments of sliding them between my eager, excited lips. They have a special spice to them unlike any other pickle, as well as the perfect crunch. I'm so happy to see they are still around. Dear Bubby, I know what I will be dreaming about tonight and forevermore...

why drizzle oil over avocado slices? oil on a veg that is already very rich with oil. will actually taste terrible.

Growing up in Brooklyn NY, I always enjoyed a street vendor's hot dog with relish, mustard & sauerkraut. Since then I have always dressed my hot dogs with these condiments but I made the mistake of buying kraut in a can once. NEVER AGAIN!! - as the kraut had a tinny taste to me so I threw it out! Bubbie's was the only brand on the shelf at my local grocery store. I was reluctant to buy it but I did. Wow what a perfect flavor !!!!!! I am amazed at the taste and now it will always be in my pantry as a long-lived staple. 😍

I have been delighted with Bubbies pickles for more than a year now, all of which were sold in the 33 oz jar at Whole Foods and De Cicco's. Now they are no longer available at WF and the grocer at DeCicco's carries only the much smaller 16 oz. jars, which I am displeased about. So without a choice, I bought a small jar of both Baby Kosher Dill and bread and butter pickles, and opened them a week later. The kosher brine in the Kosher dill jar tasted vile-contaminated; and the pickle that I ate tasted "off". So, I removed all the pickles and the brine was gray in color with very little solids and I noticed the upper rim of the jar had an accretion/crystals on the inside rim of the top even though it had been sealed with plastic and not easy to open. An hour later, my stomach was churning and rumbling for at least 2 hours. Thankfully, that was all that happened. I threw it all out anyway. The product code is 0 3826185735 4. I opened the B&B jar and taste tested them against the remaining refrigerated pickles in the last 33 oz jar I have. Not the same. The small jar contents had no crunch and the flavor of the pickles was not as tangy. How is it that the same product is not consistent throughout? Aren't they made in the same batches before they are jarred? There seems to be a flaw in product quality control and possibly safety. It is a great disappointment.

I made this for dinner last night, minus the mushrooms since I don't care for them, and it was wonderful. The aroma it filled my apartment with while cooking was simply divine, so cozy and comforting on a chilly October night. And the flavors were delicious, just as Bubbie described, sweet and tangy, a great stick-to-your-ribs stew. This will definitely become a staple in my kitchen. Thanks, Bubbie!
