This channel was started to host artist & label mixes I've done over the years that Mixcloud began to have a problem with, plus classic mixtapes/CD's/files from my archive that I haven't seen anywhere else. Over time, it's evolved to also include track uploads from the wide spectrum of house, techno and other electronic music that again, I haven't seen elsewhere.
Dave Angel - The Edge (Technotunes) - 1995
As far as I know, Dave Angel did a couple of these "The Edge" tapes. I've seen the other online but couldn't find this one and it was a big walkman favourite of mine back in the day. Hearing it back after so long brought back some good memories but the mix itself is a bit stop/start for some reason. It gives you a good idea of what he was playing at the time though and it's full of amazing music as you would expect, featuring tracks from Derrick Carter, Roy Davis Jnr, Digital Express, Morgan, The Advent & Dave Angel himself.

Amazing! I've been looking for the cassette version on RUclips for ages! Listened to this literally hundreds of times as a 17/18 year old walking to college in 95-97. Great memories. One of my all time favourite mixes, so of its time yet still sounds phenomenal in 2025 and no doubt it'll sound amazing in another 30 years! Thanks so much for the upload.
Of course I bought the cd version soon as it came out but agree with the comments on here that the cassette version is better!
@@paulelliott7237 glad it brought back some memories Paul. I always favoured the tape as I walked about listening to it loads too and it just generally flows better than the CD. Now it’s online you can relive your youth a bit!
Remember seeing this dude in Colorado springs I think 1999 2000, him Mike Dearborn, others. Ma n that party was awesome!! Real techno was rocking!!!!

@@ryanscott260 no idea. This upload is made up of a couple of old CD-Rs and there was no info with them. I’ve wondered where it’s from myself as clearly a live club recording. If there are specific tracks you want to know, send the times and if I know them I’ll post a reply.

@@popcycles a full track list would be very challenging! I do know some though and if there are specific timings you want to give I’ll try my best to ID.
@@mixedupmusic48 actually, there's not a lot on here that's hard to ID. You only have to look at Mills back catalogues to find half of it. I am sure that @popcycles would love to do their own research, just like we had to. I ended up in a very limited capacity lock in at Eukatech Records in Covent Garden when Mills did the show in London. It's possible that he played at Lost the same weekend. Great days, greatest DJ.
