Elder Scrolls "canon" always felt like mythology and rumor to me. The unreliable narrator is in full effect. People would be better off thinking of the whole series as an collection of narratives told by different people who were just giving their own perspectives of events.

You should show footages of orcs and images of them instead of that ESO cinematics.

Good bit of lore, Orcs are my favorite race in Elder Scrolls. My main character in Skyrim is a female Orc who ran away from her stronghold at a young age so she wouldn't be married off.

I've always loved Jyggachad. By definition, the daedric princes are padomaic. Therefore beings of chaos. More or less powerful, but all of them are enforced by chaotic concepts. Except for Jyggalag, the most powerful of all, and he was the lord of ORDER, LOGIC AND DEDUCTION. So he was able to best all the demonic princes through mere logic. A true boss.

You made the Ithelia storyline seem good.

The idea of something not having an official canon sounds chaotic and nonsensical. Which is annoying. Regardless on if i'm new to or an established fan of something. I like for there to be a set timeline. Bethesda retcons things with each game? That's simply bad writing. They need to plan things out, commit to it and stick with it. Obviously you can add to it but in general i hate when things conflict one another. My first game with Elder Scrolls is obviously skyrim. So, you can understand how all this discourse and conflicting information is upsetting. I never liked the notion of "You choose what happened." No. That seems lazy to me. Overall i can respect everyone's opinion.

In the lore of TES games he is depicted as a very serious,influencal and powerfull character who left huge legacy to tamriel in the field of magic and knoweledge. But In the ESO game tho during his questline to bring back Eyvea he seemed a lot more comical,desparate and pathetic even goofy sometimes.His ingame character and his deal with uncle Sheogorath, where he lost Eyvea nulifies his wisdom and depiction of as one of the most powerfull mages in the lore.

Eso takes place in yhe 2nd era, if you read books in all the games you will know that the 2nd era was full of weird shit and was just a crazy time we also have to look at the second game daggerfall, at the end of the game you cause a dragons break because of all the choices, so maybe thats what happens at the end of eso

It's interesting that Herma Mora, Mephala, and Ithelia form a sort of Daedric triad-one could also argue that Azura, Nocturnal, and Meridia also form a triad, each representing a different time of day. I wonder what other triads could be formed within the Daedric Princes?

Personally, I think the unlikely alliance of the ebonheart pact is what makes it cool really. 3 races who historically hate each other banding together to even the odds against greater threats. It reminds me of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Idk that's just my opinion.

I thought there were always more daedric princes, the ones we interact with in game are just the ones that have the most influence over or interest in mortals. That’s not even counting the magne ge who can also return and become Daedric princes (see meridia)

A similar thing happens in Warhammer 40k, where lore changes over time. I suppose the difference here is that Games Workshop (the people who make 40k) usually tries to include the old lore as well as the new stuff. Not all the time, but sometimes they make an effort For example, a race of semi-humans called the Squats (space dwarves) were retconned out of the setting and said to be eaten by the Tyranids (space locusts). GW then retconned in a new race of space dwarf aliens later on called the Demiurg to try and placate the Squat fans, but they didn't do anything with them and they were quietly dropped. Then a few years ago GW announced that the Kin, a new dwarf race of human offshoots, were in fact not extinct, but instead were quite prolific, and were often referred to in-lore as "Demiurg" and "Squats", combining three generations of lore and retcons into a new faction that combined everything I suppose Bethesda's issue is that sometimes they shoot for a happy medium, and that's what burns a lot of folks, at least in my eyes

I mean it's said the elder scrolls work in such a way that everything is possible he'll let's not forget that all timelines were merged into one so they all Happened but didn't happen at the same time

Is the Ebonheart Pack canon? Yes. Is it dumb? Also yes. Elder Scrolls in a nutshell, really. When you pull back the curtain, the entire franchise is pretty decent games that have a lot of missed opportunities.

Every new TES game has gone ahead and broken or retconned a piece of lore, so why would anyone be surprised that they did it again for ESO. Though for newer games like Blades they use ESO lore. Bethesda just needs to pick a lane and stick with it and ESO is a good start.

I can't believe you left out the best part of the rabbit ears story. Ysgramor encounters a hare while hunting and the hare offers to make his ears longer to be a better hunter. Before Ysgramor accepts, a Shor -- in the shape of a fox -- shows up, chases the hare away, and explains that Ysgramor almost made himself elven. The whole story is about nords hating elves. It's hilarious.
