Wendell is a truth teller. His words sound like scripture for the Holy Scriptures and the Truths of God's general revelation to man through the created world, is inseparably weaved throughout his thoughts, and his pen. He is pointing us - back to the land - back to The Maker, and His order of things.

Berry is an incredible force. It's interesting to see very few people of color in this production. Berry, I believe challenges power, and I believe including those that do not look like berry is critical to change. So please include others so we don't have a monoculture.

As a cattle rancher I think there is a balance between modern and traditional ag. I have heard claims of how rotational and mob grazing can replace fertilizer but I have never had much success with it or equaled what a little nitrogen will do for a pasture.

There is a unique line in the Oath of Allegiance found in no other country today or in history that I am aware of, this particular line is this...*"that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;* That part about enemies domestic is critical to get your head around, so profound that some founders felt it was the only way the country could even be defeated. They were wise men, they were right and it's 1-2 seconds to midnight. Free speech zones...legal assassination of Americans with no due process..and on and on and on, not one line in the constitution that has not been either completely bypassed or stabbed so much that it sits there wondering if the the final blow is about take it out. I'm not blaming, just admitting the real state of the present truth. Wendell is right that it has to stop, and now or it will be ...biblical. I don't know that I would have woke up to powerful fundamental understandings had I not stumbled into something that I found interesting in the moment. Had I not and someone tried to "get me to wake up"...prod me to watch something that I felt was a waste of my time and not worth while since I found it to be outlandish, conpirecy theory crap, I would not be even watching this video. I don't know how it comes about either but It will involve someone who will know more then what the zombies do. Money/banking is excellent stuff to have explained as well as AE 9/11 truth, yes, even taboo subjects. If its not well known, it should be. If it's off limits, i shouldn't be. If it's ridiculed heavely, look real close. The truth has always been kept as best it could be, from us. Only you can discover how lied to and totaly used and abused we have been.

THE US acting like a democracy is working like one perfectly.Try working like what you are....a republic,and enforce your constitution. Your foundation has to be bedrock and nothing allowed on that rock that fails to be in harmony with it.

He is a great writer, a powerful thinker, and he addresses issues we should all be concerned about. He is willing to stand up to government officials who simply don't listen. He is a man for the people, the unnoticed people who aren't wealthy.

Certainly this man is being studied by the Nobel committee. These are not complicated ideals. They are simple truths which one can go anywhere and observe. Question is: When will it matter enough to our species to do something about it?

As a Kentuckian, I'm so thankful to have Wendell. One of a kind.

America is so lucky to have Mr. Wendell Berry as one of their citizens. He's not only a great writer, but also a truly great man! :)

Wendall Berry is a great man and a great poet. I detected some Rumi in one of the poems. I wonder if he had read any Rumi before he wrote that poem in which he talks about God being dead, then God being alive, etc. The main thing he addressed (other than the actual poems) which I found to be of interest is making a living without having to make "a killing." We have a consumption problem. I don't know whether we have a population problem. Maybe we do. But when you combine a consumption problem with genuine overpopulation you quickly depleate everything. At least that seems to be the case.

We are running out of time, and, as Wendell Berry observes, those who are doing the most damage to the planet demonstrate no interest in doing what is moral and right. The problem is that our forefathers were unable to resist the coercive enclosure of the commons into private property in nature. Within a few short centuries the planet was carved into nation-states with claims of territorial sovereignty. Then, within the nation-states a "rentier" elite carved the territory into private parcels and tracts of land, some measured in the thousands of square miles. Not since the late 19th century and the sudden appearance of Henry George as a major voice calling for solution of the so-called "land question" by means of the public collection of the full potential rental value of land in all its forms was there a real opportunity for realizing Wendell Berry's hopes for a sustainable and healthful future. How to achieve Henry George's vision via political means has been extremely difficult. The rentier elite in all countries has become ever more deeply entrenched, ever more personally wealthy and ever more politically obstructive to justice.

Thank you Wendell for your continued efforts to shed light on the "precious things". And, thank you for reminding Christians that environmentalists and liberals are not the enemy.
