70s German disco Latibær (the Icelandic name for what is otherwise known as "Lazy Town") my warped little brain = this video. This is the first ever video I've tried to make, so if it sucks... I know. This was more of an experiment than anything, to see if I was able to take pieces of videos and make something out of them. And I think that answer would be no. XD

This video is the Icelandic version of "Master of Disguise" it's called "Meistari Dulargervanna". I know the song sounds a lot like "Versti Fantur" from "Glanni Glæpur", but the words are different. Can't remember where I got the video file from, but again the audio file comes from ShinjuTetsuya (thanks!), and I simply added it to the video. I like this song a lot; I hope you'll enjoy it, too ^_^

"Du er en sjørøver", a.k.a. the Norwegian version of the LazyTown song "You Are A Pirate"! :D Please do forgive the crappy video quality. 'Tis probably what I get for uploading a .wmv instead of a .mpg this time x_x The sound is OK, though! The video's just a bit.. pixellized. T_T

This is the Icelandic version of the song "Lazy Scouts" from LazyTown; it's called "Verum Löt". I apologise in advance if it's not perfect; I took the original English version of the video (from LT's official site) and put it with the Icelandic audio (thanks, Shinju-chan!) in Windows Movie Maker. I don't think I did too badly with it, considering it's the first thing I've ever done in WMM. Anyw...

A live version of "Sister Nightfall" by Sirenia. Not sure how old this is, but it's definitely not recent seeing as how the former singer is in it. Oh, and at the beginning you also get to hear a liiiittle bit of Morten speaking in Norwegian. ^_^ Anyway, enjoy!

    This is my first time hearing this version. I've heard Versti Fantur and Master of Disguise so many times, so to hear an in-between version feels kinda wrong. Hes speaking Icelandic, so I expect Versti Fantur's lyrics, but the visuals are from Master of Disguise, but its not English. 😵‍💫

    • @tethryss5001
      @tethryss5001 2 года назад

      No, listen to it in Icelandic and that is the closest you can actually get. This is due to iceland having a grammar purification in the late 1800s that was aimed at saving Icelandic from Norwegian and Danish influences and the growing use of English forms of speaking in Iceland. Upon this being completed, a lot of language progress was reversed, resulting in Icelandic being similar enough to old norse that a lot of the medieval script can be read by Icelanders if they know the differences.

    ICELANDIC: (scroll down for english) Ég sat um kvöld og horfði hátt á himinsblámans djúp, og augun drógust dræmt í kaf í dimman næturhjúp. Ég vildi horfa húmið burt og heiðið bak við sjá. Og ef til vill var augasteinn minn óskasteinninn þá. Ég vildi sigra sortans mátt og sjá í gegnum hann, því einhver þrá til æðra lífs í æðum mínum brann. Ég þráði meira, meira ljós í mínu veika sál; ég þráði glóð frá Guði sjálfum, glóð sem væri ei tál. Þá kviknaði allt í einu snöggt á undralampans kveik. Og sjá, hin björtu blysin Guðs sér brugðu í fagran leik. Þau þutu víða vegu geims og vóðu blámans hyl, og leifturhraðar litasveiflur lýstu jarðar til. Að lýsa þeirra Drottins dýrð ei dauðleg tunga kann, en helga nálægð himinsins mitt hjarta þegar fann. Og lúin sál mín lagðist þar við lífsins bjarta ós, og svalg á einu augnabliki öll þau norðuljós. Þá barnið hló í brjósti mér, og birtan varð mín hlíf. Ég heyrði Drottins hjarta slá, þá hvarf mér dauði og líf. Ég sá við undralampans ljós á leifturhraðri ferð: úr ótal slíkum augnablikum eilífðin er gerð. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ENGLISH: I sat one night and watched the depth of the skies and my eyes draw'ed in with the darkness of it all i wanted to take the dark away far away from me i guess my eyes where my wishing luck for now I wanted to beat the darkness and look right trough its eyes because some kind of desire in my veins they burned I wanted more, more light in my weak soul i wanted a spark from god himself a spark that was not deceitful Then suddenly there was a light from the wonder light of the skies and to look at the light of god they all started to play they lighted up my universe and pushed the dark away and fast as light the colour swipes lighted up the earth to describe the beauty of it all the wisest men can not do but the holy closeness of it all my heart could already feel my tired soul rested there with the light of the life my soul took in all of them all those northern lights The child in me laughed and laughed and the brightness was my shield I heard the heartbeat of the lord and life and death flashed before me again i saw the wonder light of the skies faster than anything: then i realised the world is made of moments like this.
