I am using motorkote in my 88 deere 1050. Abit over half of the recommended amount for a "heavy duty turbo diesel" with absolutely incredible results. Its an inline 3 diesel so it makes much more racket than say a modern 4 cylinder but Motorkote had quieted the engine right down much more than i ever wouldve thought possible. Hiwever according to amsoil theyre claiming motorkote uses chlorine for whatever reason, now are they slandering your product to boost theirs or is motorkote really going to loosen up all the older sludge built up inside engine crankcases from years of conventional use????? I believe this to be an extremely important question for you to answer

I wonder if the recommendation to add every other oil change is just away to increase sales. Seeing they say sanding it off is the only way to remove it.

WARNING... DO NOT use Motorkote in applications that require friction (wet clutches, wet brakes, etc.). It's so good at mitigating friction, it can cause these friction-based mechanisms to work poorly, or stop working altogether. It's that good. For this reason, regardless of what anyone reads/hears elsewhere, I don not recommend using Motorkote in the following applications: -motorcycles which utilize the same crankcase for both engine and transmission, as these often utilize a wet clutch -most automatic transmissions, as these often have wet lockup torque converters and wet bands/clutches. - friction-based differentials and/or transfer cases. - any heavy equipment application which utilizes wet clutches or brakes... especially dozers.

Can you use this with hyper lube ?

A pressure test does not prove that the engine wears less... only that the product withstands pressure when applied for a short period of time on a small piece of metal. BTW: Nothing to stop Motorkote being used after (or before) applying XcelPlus (the original Slick 50 formulation). Motorkote is an oil additive and XcelPlus is a metal treatment. They should be synergistic. You're not comparing apples to apples. 🙂

Probably work in a chainsaw as a Bar chain oil, added to your Bar chain oil.

I bought this. I tried to cancel after but it shipped anyway. I haven't put it in my jag and wont. I have been trying to get an answer on the chlorine rumors. No response from MK Yet I emailed them on the 24th of dec. Clorine is not good for aluminum block or heads... . The flash point is only 60c. That sucks. Waste of $30

Shit. Put motorkate in you engine running 5 min. Dron the oil. Put a. WATER. In the engine you put water in 6 to 10 min. You will ((( put ))) water in the engine 6 mis. Water will evac. In a hot engine . The will still run I a 1 hr. Try it. I did. The motorkate it's the best. Look in the label. It's will rest. WATER.

i put a whole 32 oz. of motorkote in my van ...... i would normally get 200 miles with a tank full of gas ...... i got a whopping 350 miles on 1 tank of gas driving a 1989 ford e-150 van ! .........i tell you the truth........motorkote is no lie !

Marketing ploy BS: It's not an additive. You can keep it like all the magic oil additives in a bottle. I'll stick with Amsoil. It's never failed me and all my vehicles run on it, along with my small engines .

To really do a good comparison of Slick 50 to MotorKote, I think you need to run the test parts and Slick 50 through a break in period before doing the comparison. I used Slick 50 during the 80s to early 2000s and there was a break in period before Slick 50 did its thing. I ran a Falex ring and block lubricant test machine at my work during that period of time. So, I decided to run my own tests of 30w oil and then 30w oil with correct proportions of Slick 50 added. At first, the test of 30w oil + Slick 50 showed no change of frictional force and temperature from just 30w oil, but after a period of time, several hours I think, the frictional force and temperature fell quickly. It was though I had removed the weights from the bail. It was quite dramatic. In the vehicles that I used Slick 50, the engines ran cooler. I don't believe I ever had to change water hoses, or pumps, or had any problems with radiators afterwards. I have not used Slick 50 for years because of not wanting to chance voiding new car vehicle warranties. But, I would very much like to see a comparison done with Slick 50 after it has gone through the break in period. Actually, I would like to see endurance test done with a base oil + MotorKote and base oil + Slick 50. Say, run both tests under a light load for about 5 hrs. and then increase the load at even increments until failure or to a set max load and time. Then, measure wear between the two tests. By the way, I like what I am seeing with tests of MotorKote. I just bought some and have just put it in the engine and transmission of our oldest vehicle, 2012 Chevy Equinox. I am still a little concerned about MotorKote supposedly containing "chlorinated paraffin"???
