Had an 88 conquest tsi loved the car sold it to get a 2000 Miata had for 15 years of enjoyment after it got totaled in front of my house in Christmas time. 3 years later got a 2004 titanium gray mazdaspeed an have not looked back since.
beautiful
Have an 89 Conquest. 4g63/powerglide. Still has AC and PS. Need a drivers PW motor. As well as both outside door handles. Plastic backgrounds.
I’ve got all those. Contact me through my website and I’ll get you taken care of www.Starquestparts.net
Thanks for all you do Steve! I have been doing u-pull it places for years and have come across some nasty stuff. Unfortunately in my neck of the woods the starquests have long been since crushed. So I'm appreciative that the community has someone like yourself still finding and stripping these cars. 👍
@@metalmilitia1o740 thanks man…trying my best! I have several here to still get to but it’s all for keeping others on the road. Holler if you ever need anything 🙏
Finger's all bloody.... respect
@@EasyMacG ha ha thank you… I have tried the gloves but I can’t feel what the hell I am doing!
I could use a rear hatch. One of my 'project' cars has missing glass & a crappy spoiler. I'll hold off a bit in case SHTF in next few days...............
Can you do a video on how to remove the hatch spoiler? Ive been stuck on replacing mine.
Hi, I actually did one of those last year… If you look through all my videos, you will see it. Let me know if you can’t find it.
Thanks for your contributions to the community! Keep it up
@@yeetman7099 thanks- much appreciated!
Nice video Steve.
Thanks - trying to post misc stuff as I think of it!
I didn’t know you were in CO. These cars are very interesting.
Haha actually Virginia - just a big Broncos fan;)
@@StarQuest-Steve awesome! Go Broncos
@@ddjslhomebase243 YES SIR! :)
can i buy it whole?
I have several here… If you’d like to discuss, happy to do so
Hey,,you were supposed to show that electronic dash!!
Great walkthrough! I had the '85.5 starion ESi and loved that car! it had the factory aluminum rear louvres that made that flat back window not look so severe. Not sure how many of those they made, but I've never seen another one. It was a sad day when I had to get rid of it. It had some mechanical issues and I was young without a lot of spare cash, so had to trade it for something more reliable.
Nice! I have some of those louvers as well, and I actually had an 85.5 car (no longer) but the 86 is close!
sick!
This was my first car in 1996. 1987 Red exterior and black interior 5 spd Chrysler Conquest TSi. I want another one and I want to make it my project car. Motor swap! Mine made all the sweet sounds 🏎️💨

Nice! Well, if you ever get the itch again, I have your fix ;)
1982 Starion in Australia
Sweet car. Thanks for sharing it.
I had a blue '89 and i loved it. They were great looking and fun to drive. Always felt like a jet cockpit with the smell of jap leather. Had a very tight posi that would easily pull a quick donut in either direction. I finally got it after years of wanting one. Ill disagree with you a little on that point. People that knew cars knew about these. They were not so available at the dealership to buy. Most only had one or two on the lot. Maybe was the marketing between Mitz and Chrysler but there were plenty of people that loved and wanted one. When you saw one in the wild they got tons of attention. They were just as quick as anything else of that time. All supra hype now was not then. They weren't very loved. Most were non turbo and were expensive pigs that weren't selling that well either in the US. You could get an LX 5.0 save $10 to 15k and smoke a Supra. Later widebody Conquests and Starions would gather more attention in a parking lot than a Supra. They weren't seen as often so any opportunity was cool. Still wish i had mine. Turbo started smoking a little and was going to take a bit of time before i would fix it. Life gets in the way and didnt want it just to sit and rot away. People would offer to buy it regularly and i finally caved making a good profit after enjoying it for some time. The only bad taste in my mouth about that thing was the guy who bought it tried to get me to drop the price by swapping two connectors under the hood when i wasnt looking. They plug right into each other and make the car start up and then die immediately after. I was in no hurry to sell and it had never ever done that before or had any starting issues at all. I knew something stupid was up and definitely wasnt dropping my price. when he realized i was waving him by by and would figure out what the problem was later he coughed up the cash quickly. I was wondering how he planned to drive it home like that so i watched off to the side for a bit and caught him swapping the connectors back. I would have beat his ass to death for messing with the car but he already paid and I kicked him off the property real fast before i did something i was going to regret. I was pissed and he knew it and left quickly.
Sweet car man! Looks great
4g63 or a 1jz no way I would spend that on the g54b. Over the years I have had 6 of them and then came my Stealth TT obsession and here we are.
Don’t like the muffler but your car is amazing!!!
Starion?
Excellent, thanks ❤❤❤❤
I'm interested in buying the etac computer located underneath the drivers seat.
@@tbone020998 I have a couple of those in stock, reach out to me on my website at www.starquestparts.net - Thank you.
Badass car
This was my dream car in high school. Very cool!
That is one sweet ride !!
That little car is gnarly. I love it's exhaust note. Beautiful 😮.
Perfect! Even the same side I'm replacing. Thanks Steve!
Noice, btw on future videos I'd recommend focusing on getting good and consisted audio. Audio is so important. Good luck.
Excellent ride, I had a 89 Conquest TSI loved it lots of mods to make these cars fast. These cars have incredible lines.
The car that killed the 924
Only a previous Starion owner would truly understand this car.
looks super nice , great color ..........................was the US brands with the digital dash also avaliblible ?? like the starion !
ah cool ...that answer my question ...if the screews are metric on the US brands
This is sweet...I've always wanted to own one.
@@jeromecooke5219 never get serious about getting one, let me know! I have a couple of them for sale;)
Hi Steve- interested in the center console
Will you sell to me? Thank you
@@JaniceIsip-t7f sorry, I did not see this response. Reach out to me on my website at www.starquestparts.net and I can definitely get you a Console if you still need one.
can i buy it??? 86 is rare
If you plan on purchasing an 86, make sure you check the following: fuel system (fuel injectors/fuel pump, ECM (replace w/ an 88-89), heads (weak heads), and check the jet valves. These cars generate a lot heat! I'm speaking from experiencing having owned an 87, spending about $6500 in parts and labor. She rides well now as a daily driver in Los Angeles.
It's crazy that these cars weren't wildly popular
Good day what part of VA you're in?
I’m in Warrenton
@@StarQuest-Steve Oh not far I'm in MD I will definitely reach out for parts

Tin top too
How much for the car
Still TBD on the plan for this one...
Hi Steve, I'm intrigued by this one. Can't wait to check out what all you have.
Thanks for the video!
Hello Steve! I spoke to you on the phone before. I considered buying that yellow one. I still have the photos of it on my phone. I'll message you about it.
Nice … brings back memories I had an 87 black conquest w gold lettering . Seeing these makes me want another. But totally fixed up like your 89… what is the value of the ‘89?
Honestly they range so much based on if they are original, been modified, etc. If you really do want a nice one, I have a sweet '89 that I will be selling soon and possible a couple others. You can reach me through my website at www.starquestparts.net and I'm happy to discuss!
had an 87 with the 83 hood and an 88 front air dam. should have never sold it. I drive a 23 Supra now which is better in every way, but i would love to have a fiji blue 88-89 to park next to it
Lots of "should have never sold it" feelings from guys about these cars, and for good reason. But hey, we can't keep everything, right? If you really want to get into another Fiji and can do some work to get it back to it's glory days, just let me know :)
