Schneider Classics
Канада
Добавлен 30 янв 2019
Just a guy with a dream of having his own garage. But for now, the dirt is my home to get rust and oil in my face while I work on everything from Mini Bikes to Classic Cars. Join me and watch as I take anything with a motor and make it run.
DD Speed Shop's Forgotten Nova Motor
Well, I got this off Dan about a few years ago, let's make sure it still runs for the next guy. Let's make this DD Speed Shop Motor spitfire.

I spent 16 hours Detailing my Parents Jeep
Просмотров 349 часов назад
Well, a big thank you, to my parents. Thank you for letting me use the Jeep to finish my level 3 at college. So I dove right in and steam cleaned and detailed the whole jeep, in a little over 16 hours. Don't Know You Had DD Speed Shop Nova Motor. I Know Dan Was Giving Away Free Motors.
I have had it for about a year or so. I know he's cleaning out for more land. I traded a pack of cola for it. It's going on to the next guy for a local hotrod.
Now you need to build a Go Kart to put it into 😂
I have thought about it, but its going onto the next guy for a local build,
I used to strip the interiors down! Took the carpet to the car wash and Rug Doctored the seats. While i was in there, i would run wiring for future stereo equipment. Good times Looks Awesome
right on, i agree, best to get right down to nothing to get all the dirt out
Sounds pretty good to me
Agreed
in 1966 in VN I show IH SUV with 4 door, 4WD. gor. used for ambulance.
that is awesome, hope it is still on the road today
F about and Find Out. Don’t play games with a tonne or more of weight.
or find out the down spring on the jack is bent and best way to get it down
The tow vehicle is a 1967 or 1968 GMC truck.
its a mix of a couple trucks, built it on the channel, title a 67. but is a 72 cab from a grain truck on a 67 frame.
@@SchneiderClassics The quad headlight design was from 1967 to 1972.
yep, have both a 67 and a 72 on the channel, going to be doing a 72 resto hopefully soon
Awesome! 👍
Thanks! 👍
Cool
I have to agree
Oh Hellyeah!
Got to love the classics
That is a cool video
glad you enjoyed, lots more to come
Runs like a top
cant disagree
That thing is clean! I would easily trade a four stroke dirt bike for it.
Got to keep these gems coming
Boring and lame .
well thanks for stopping by
My drivers ed class had one just like it😊. Your in for a treat . And no that is not what they are supposed to sound like. Guess the connection between the starter and the brake master cylinder
You got 3.5 cylinders
right on, and yeah the fire order was off and no pipes. that car is for sure a cool ride
thanks for the info
It sounds good and don't look bad either.
I'd say she mint, good enough to drive the family to church in
I've had a hundred of those cars! I still have some parts here and there. And a dash
nice, I love this little car, wish I snagged it from him before he flipped it.
@SchneiderClassics that two door in St B is still up for grabs
I know, but sadly been behaving with my money
Can never have enough chain and weld!
well I take after my grandfather with that, always have a welder around and grinder, so rather just weld it and make it work then figure out brackets. plus I have started to hoard chain
Looks like so much fun. I watch videos like this when it's currently 114 degrees outside and I want to move.
I am a winter boy for sure. wish I could ride sleds year round
Damnnnnn!
Yep
It's going to be sweet when it's done!
its going be some thing
Two steps forward, one step backwards?
sometimes thats just how it works
“I have a guy who does all my regular maintenance, things in tip top shape”
right on mate, good to keep things in good shape
Just change one sway bar link while your at it bossman 😂
boom, crack, and a clank clank clank
That is not a fail, that is a feature.
Indeed
I’d rather have an old box truck like that right there than these new fang ones keep it running😎💯🚛
I'll keep rebuilding and have this one running for as long as I can. Might new a new frame in a few year with all the hauling tho
Harbor Freight Jack stands and a handyman jack…what could go wrong? Lying in the gutter spitting teeth on the sidewalk…
No harbor freight up here but can't disagree with you. Lessons were learnt
@@SchneiderClassics I saw a sticker that said “guns don’t kill people, hi-lift jacks do!” Best tool for the job some of the time but always gotta be on your toes
Yep and watch when they jam. That's what happened here, locked up on the way down.
Nice Horse!
My son loves it
Hell yea
Hear that motor purrrr
@@SchneiderClassics yessir, just got my sbc swap project running today as well
He'll yeah man get at er
My new reminder to go to the gym so I can be more helpful 🥲
You are a ton of help
😂😂😂😂😂😂😅3😅😂😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅9991oooooooo
Ok
You'll have to explain why that matters....
Not a huge deal for sway bar link, but changes the angles for the linkage and suspension, sometimes putting it way out of the range of adjustable alignment. Making the linkage have aggressive tension, making it wear faster. Why I see aftermarket parts being changes again and again. Where the factory part othe the other side out lives 3 or 4 aftermarket replacements. But that's all on a case by case base.
@@SchneiderClassics I've worked at a dealer, and worked aftermarket shops and installed thousands of parts. I fail to see the aftermarket parts that put "it way out of the range of adjustment". Yes, the very odd case does happen, but OEMs make massive, foolish mistakes regularly. Your comment saying "this is the problem with aftermarket" is foolish. The slight angle change on the swaybar link makes no damn difference.
The more time goes on the more a difference makes. We align cars within thousands of an inch in spec now. Not a full inch. Up in the rust belt seen it make a huge difference in wear and tear of a vehicle. But to each there own.
The "MODEL A" was FORD. IF THIS IS A CHEVROLET TRUCK "IT IS NOT" A MODEL A! My wife and I had a 1927 Buick Country Club Sport. The kid at the lube shop told me, "FORD DIDN'T MAKE BUICK! 😡" My response was, "You're so very correct." It's a Buick, not a Ford DA!
Also, after 1930, you can call 1-800-AC-Delco and with the VIN they can provide you with a plethora of information about the vehicle you're calling on. JFYI 👍 Good luck.
I maybe wrong and I was on this truck, I have been corrected to a 1927 chevy model AA capital. They had a lot of names over the years that transfer over
Thanks on the phone number tip, this is before 1930 so wouldn't work for it then
Awesome video…. I just subscribed too…. Rock on
Rock on! I appreciate it
Your not defeated yet!
No sady will keep working on it
I primered a car with a roller once 😂
Yess
Brush painting smooth surfaces only works with self levelling paint else you end up with bristle streaks.
This was not a self leveling paint but i did not thin it out and Comercial paint. Worked well.
Question, Why are you calling it a 67. It's not a 67, looks to me it's a 1970
What I was told with rhw Vin but I am not very knowledgeable in telling the models apart with mustangs
@@SchneiderClassics Well just to let you know it's a 70 front. So it's a 70 lol. I know my Mustangs pretty well.
Good to know
Its close after you hit and stop...
Who said it didn't roll a little after
1927 capitol chev truck 4 cylinder engine, ,3 speed non sycromesh gearbox ,delco Remy starter ,and generator and distributor ,carter up draught carb, the speedometer is a ac brand ,6 volt ignition system
Awesome information to know. Really appreciate it. Gives me a little more insight
Kindling!
Pretty much
I really appreciate all the information. Lots to learn old this old truck.
los mexicanos no hablamos español, hablamos latino mexicano, 🚍 Rule" s naucalpan mex.
cool to learn
q hermoso ha de ver Sido en su momento, tener esas hermosas pickup Ford, chevrolet, Dodge o international, han de ver Sido una maravilla manejandolas q hermosas, saludos Rule " s 🚍 naucalpan mex.
I can agree that is is a sight to see and still trying my luck to drive
They make a wrench for that, 90* bend each end,1/2" x 9/16" fits almost all older engines. Nice upper radiator hose restraint ! Hope you can find a fan shroud to fit, Ford had a lot of combinations.
Yeah I have a wrench somewhere, and yeah it's been played with a bit.
Move to the US , then you don't have to worry about KommieMeters
Slowly think more and more about it with the way it's going
@@SchneiderClassics Nothing is perfect but it's the best thing going. Move to the south or midwest. I grew up in Europe with family in Canada, moved to California in the 90's , then to Texas about 10-15 years ago. Texas has been a good place
Yeah I have heard that about Texas a fair bit
Needs a Posi with mud tires for really ripping up the yard
The k20 are good and don't give many problems. It's the fact over night with the rain it sank a good 2 inches in the very soft yard. But a limited slip would help for sure.
stunning
Indeed
That is sweet!
it has already giving me much head ack with the closing mech
