I have several LDV 200s that have this XUD9 engine fitted. They ran from about 1994 up the early 2000s before moving on to the DW8 version.

Were they making a noise? Did you have an issue? I’ve got an auto box and getting a big whining noise when up to temperature on faster roads. Final drive into box is a potential issue. Everything else is brand new.

I do mix my biodiesel down to 50:50 with settled veg oil, and at least as far as VW 1.9Tdi ALH engine is concerned, it seems to run very, very good. Not so good on straight diesel.

I used plate glass and got the block super level it took 2 weeks of sanding to get if perfect but the head sealed with no leaks and still going strong after 2 year's. The turbo xud9te-l engine block doesn't have any gap's inbetween the inner wall of the cylinders.

just open up your ratchet and lube it...good as new

Great solution there. That earth connection is a pain to repair otherwise.
