Swap out your Ai Pin booster without re-entering your security code...(obsolete)
Note: With the new six-second "swap" window on the latest firmware, this hack is no longer needed, but I'll leave it here for "historical interest".

Even if you haven't received the update to version 1.1.4 of the Humane Ai Pin firmware, it's still possible to swap boosters without having to unlock afterwards! #humaneaipin

Introducing PinSync
Просмотров 720Месяц назад
A demo of PinSync, a native Android app currently in closed testing that allows Notes stored in humane.center to be accessed and managed using a native Android app. Also featured is PinPal, an application that does the same for iOS. If you're interested in either, reach out on the Humane Discord at discord.gg/humane to get more information. Source code for PinSync : github.com/mefogle/PinSync S...

This video looks at a couple of different ways to access lists on the #HumaneAiPin - using the built-in list feature or integrating with an external list system (e.g., Todoist) via text messaging. Part 2 here : ruclips.net/video/Dbj0ah2BU2o/видео.html
Translation and transit directions with the Humane Ai Pin
Просмотров 4402 месяца назад
A demonstration of the Humane Ai Pin being used to translate from Japanese into English and from English to Thai. Also, showing how the Pin can be used to retrieve transit directions and how it remembers context between queries.
I hope your channel makes lots of money!
Great!!
No longer necessary, but it was fun for a while!
Thanks! Great tip.
Here's hoping that it will be quickly obsoleted by the official release of 1.1.4! 🤞
@@PintouristSFO me too..I’m still eagerly waiting for the 1.1.4 update to be released.
@@JLZwissRN1950 By now I'm sure you have it. I'd say my opinion is mostly positive, but some changes (like the change in inflection for "You're all caught up!" which now sounds less "upbeat") have me scratching my head.
Sent an email and messaged on discord! Definitely would like to try pin sync
Thanks! I sent you an email with the install link.
I presume we're going to see similar work for the R1 at some point to make that thing vaguely useful :)
😄 Rabbit doesn't seem quite so accommodating to reverse engineering, so I'd probably wait for an official API before proceeding down that path.
Great idea. When/Where will it be available?
It's available now, as a closed internal test. You can email me at mark@contextable.com and I will add you to the list and send a Google Play install link.
This is great - thank you for making it! I will message you on Discord - I'd love to test it if you are looking for folks.
Sure.... you can DM me on Discord with you email address if you want to be added to the the list!
Looks really good!
Thanks! Please email me at mark@contextable.com if you're interested in being a tester.
Like everyone here, thank you very much for this workaround. It's worth absolutely worth it! I also signed up for the beta program ago. Look forward to sharing and learning.
That's great to hear... glad I could help!
@@PintouristSFO Thanks again. I attended the AI Expo for National Competitiveness in Washington, D.C. last week and talked to the CEO of a startup that lead me to your channel. I should have known that there would be hacks and tips out there, I've just been too busy to look for it. A question if you don't mind; are there other automation I could leverage through MacroDroid? The notifications are a great leap forward but I'm thinking about creating calendar invites, integration with Notion, etc. I don't expect a play by play walkthrough but I'd appreciate it if you could share what you've uncovered since and I can look into it myself. Thanks.
@@willemd.vanniekerk Funny you should ask 😏I should be sharing something later today that should help with that. Hint : It's similar to "Pin Pal" for iOS - testflight.apple.com/join/iEHtPAT5
@@PintouristSFO Fantastic! I can't wait and look forward to it.
@@willemd.vanniekerk The demo video is at ruclips.net/video/LGKrvvlLs-w/видео.html and the app is available for internal testing. If you're interested, you can email me at mark@contextable.com to be added to the tester list.
Don't get me wrong, the rabbit is doing an absolutely terrible job at transit, but it's great to have these videos. Hope it'll be of use to you in Cambodia.
Yes, I think the Rabbit will be my primary translation device outside of Cambodia as well... the "push to talk" UI is dead simple and I can pass the device to the other person and have them speak into it rather than have to simultaneously press down with two fingers while moving close to the other person so the Pin can hear them (that's assuming, of course, that it works - yesterday it was responding with about 15-second latency even while on Wifi).
Please post more videos of them talking to each other
I was trying to think of something else besides having them process each other's translations... any ideas?
goofy ahh ai
I like having them talk to each other... might have to do some more of that. 😂
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
And thank you for watching!

This seems wildly inefficient 😂
Oh, it definitely is 😂 But on the off chance I burn through both boosters and the charge case in the field (hasn't happened yet, even before the firmware upgrade), it's nice to have the phone as a backup.
Does it actually charge?
Yes... I'll post a photo in the Discord 😊
Thanks - I love this! I have implemented it, as we await Humane's solution as well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community!
You're welcome. Glad it worked for you!
Finally a product that beats the pet rock for the dumbest product ever.
Aww... comeon. It's at least as good as a tamagotchi, right? 😂
@PintouristSFO No way! Tamagotchi comes in all kinds of colors and makes no mistakes. :)
This is very cool! Thanks for sharing it.
You're welcome... Glad you liked it!
This is why I bought the pin and the video review I’ve been looking for. Thank you
You're welcome. Glad I could help! If you're interested in translation, be sure to check out ruclips.net/user/shortsrarbwmUK4os?feature=share as well.
Cool video, looks like a fun workaround until the official SDK is released! Also, we live in the same city!
Yes, it was fun figuring that out, but I look forward to "retiring" this approach!
They just kicked out the beta program today too btw.
Yes! I signed up - definitely looking forward to seeing what's next.
AHAHAHAH WHAT?!?! THAT'S MEEEE!!! 😅
How fitting, considering that you were probably the first person to watch any of my videos!
This is amazing! I'm subscribing!
Great! Thanks for subbing! 😀
Would be nice if there was a workaround for listening to podcasts.
Hmm... yes, that would be a bit of a challenge. Maybe "Dial-a-Podcast" where you can listen to podcasts over the phone? 😏
But it can't add the items from the SMS to the Center Note? You'd have to repeat them?
That's correct... it's pretty much an "either/or" thing at this point. I'm hoping that I'll be able to do something more "elegant" once an SDK becomes available later this year, but until then I'll probably be using my SMS integration over what's built-in.
I did finally figure out that it's possible to have the Pin copy content from a text message to a Note in the Center... Turns out all I had to do was ask : ruclips.net/video/Dbj0ah2BU2o/видео.html
Pretty sweet thanks for posting this . Hoping I get my shipping info soon since I’m onboarded over a week ..
🤞for you. I consider myself lucky to have received mine so quickly.
Strategic Framework for Enhanced Smart Device Integration I. Introduction Addressing integration challenges requires a focus beyond software, encompassing brand identity and consumer choice issues across various business sectors. The reluctance of companies to relinquish control over these aspects impedes seamless integration. II. Key Points Smart devices must integrate seamlessly with a diverse range of external services, such as grocery stores (Walmart, Safeway, Target, Whole Foods) and specialized retailers, while preserving user ease and distinct service identities. Strategic customization based on user preferences is critical to fostering a business environment that prioritizes personalized, intuitive user interactions. III. Strategic Recommendations Personalized User Profiles: Develop user profiles that use interaction history and individual preferences to tailor device responses, enhancing user experience and business outcomes. Optional Always-On Microphone Feature: Deploy an always-on microphone with strict privacy controls to deepen contextual understanding. This feature should be optional, with clear consent protocols to respect user privacy and business ethics. IV. Example Interaction When a user asks their Humane AI Pin to purchase blueberries, the device uses its always-on microphone to access past conversations and preferences. It notes the user’s preference for Whole Foods and Target and remembers a recommendation for "Jomboz" blueberries at Target. The AI then suggests, "I found Jomboz blueberries at Target, recommended by a friend. Would you like to try these, or should I look for organic options at Whole Foods instead?" V. Summary Implementing these strategies ensures that smart devices like the Humane AI Pin not only meet but also exceed user expectations with tailored, intuitive interactions. Strong privacy measures reinforce trust and broader acceptance, setting a new industry standard for smart device integration.
I'm suddenly finding comments on my videos that I didn't notice before, this one included. Sorry I didn't reply previously - there are some great ideas here. "Always listening" could prove tricky... Both because of privacy concerns and because of the drain on battery, which, as we've already seen, can be problematic.
But it won't work there because you don't have coverage, right?
It will work in all three countries, once I purchase the roaming add-on (humane.com/subscription). It looks like that will run me about $50. Alternatively, I already have international roaming on my phone, so I could use it as a hotspot and connect the Pin using Wifi.
For the short time you have it , are you enjoying it ? Is it as bad as the tech reviewers are saying ? I have it on order but the reviews are scaring me . Thanks
I am actually enjoying it, probably because I've tempered my expectations; for one thing, I'm not expecting it to replace my cellphone anytime soon. And, as shown in my video, there are some things that it does reasonably well - I'll create some more videos showing additional use cases as I discover them.
@@PintouristSFO awesome thanks for the response.
I'd be interested in hearing some Chinese, and the Chinese language has different dialects based on region. Ask it to translate, "I ate rice for dinner last night".
Unfortunately, it only supports "Chinese Simplified" at this point. I've heard, however, that they're using Azure Speech Service (learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/speech-service/language-support?tabs=speech-translation) under the covers, so there are additional variants that could be added at some point
I have a Chinese colleague... I'll try out your phrase and record her reaction!
You live surprisingly close to me! 😳
