I have a 2022 and it's in the shop for the second time for the transmission stayed 90 days first time

I have a 2023 too and had the same experience as you. Except I went in for my second oil change at 5000 miles thonking it would be free with the DCT filter. The dealer told me I didn't have enough miles to change the DCT filter. So they told me to pay for the oil change now (the second one) and come back at 7000 miles for the free service for both. I hope that one will be free.

GM changed the case size of late 2023 onwards to hold 2 more quarts.

Griff how ya' doin? I've had my 2023 C8 for a year now, and got my notification for an oil change. This dealership did the service, but heres the kicker. I received a notification that my tires need replacement (tech. recommendation). I have aftermarket wheels with Michelin Tires with only 2,445 on those tires. I took the car to the wheel & tire shop i bought the tires from. The guys there measured the tread depth at 8/32nds, a new tire is 9/32nds. Also the dealership told me the DCT filter has to be changed at 15,000 miles, and it costs $900 for the filter only. I don't think i'll be dealing with these people anymore.

I have a 2023 C8 corvette tracked it 4 times. There are no issues and never have concerns about transmission or wanting a warranty. I put 17k miles on my c8 so far. Only way I sell it is for an eray or z06

Why buy it in the first place if so pessimistic?

I got stuck in 15 hours of stop go traffic....No wonder mine is acting up. I know my warranty will cover it but Im worried about all the issues I am seeing here on the c8's and seems like even the 2023's are having issues. Im not confident the warranty will fully fix it.

I ran into the same situation this last weekend on my 24' c8

I saw that light and it also scared me. I was on CA 33 pushing my limits on the curves in Sport mode and was totally unaware of what it meant. Like you I looked it up, found out it was not something bad but I've also not sought it out again. YET!

Of course, if you read about every problem, actual or possible with a lot of models, you might wind up not wanting to buy ANY car. Even thought they can well afford repairs, exotic car owners must still wonder about a future expensive repair. lol, that’s bull. They could have done the oil change for free and done the transmission later. The first dealership I went to wouldn’t but the second one did. That’s the one I’m going to from now on. 😊
