PONTIAC SOLSTICE SEQUENTIAL TURN SIGNAL MODULE
This video shows an installed example of how the RPM-Motorsports Pontiac Solstice Sequential Turn Signal Light Kit looks om a customer's car. See how the kit functions when tapping the brakes, using the turn signal, or putting on the hazard lights.
The Sequential Turn Signal Light Kit adds visibility to your car, and blends in seamlessly with the factory lighting. People behind you in traffic will notice your turn indicators more easily, as these attract the right kind of attention.
This kit is a do-it-yourself type of project, and should take the average Solstice owner around one and a half hours to install.

This kit was designed from the ground up to be a true "DO IT YOURSELF" kind of kit... Other kits on the market require massive amounts of modification to install. We have partnered with GM who supplies us with many of the components of these kits which means these selected parts are covered by GM's limited warranty. This kit bolts up to your Kappa platform as if it were made for it...that's bec...
Pontiac Solstice Opel GT Saturn SKY Turbo Charge Pipes
Просмотров 4,8 тыс.8 лет назад
These Upgraded Charge Pipes are a MUST HAVE performance part for anybody with a 2.0L Turbo LNF Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky. The factory charge pipes have a major design flaw, and are bent nearly in half right above the radiator support. If you have not already replaced your charge pipes, go look under your hood and you will see that the OEM parts appear like they were bent in half over a cin...

Just ordered these in GREEN for the dragon. The charge tubes were made by several manufacturers but RPM makes their own. They look great.

I'd love to give you my money, but with no dyno proof, I have to assume it's snake oil.

More videos ! Maybe a few of tuning being done on solstice gxp? Cheers

Is this REALLY accurate? Any dyno results with factory sky, solstice, Opel GTs with just these aftermarket charge pipes Holding a linear powerband after install? Someone shut me up....

I bet this runs way smoother than the tumultuous LNF. That engine is so bouncy and hot! To those who are interested in doing this, the 2007 is the best LE5 engine for this. I think the older LE5's had forged crankshafts. Great job with this kit RPM. I really hope these little cars get more love before disappearing into obscurity.

I just want to add that you are correct about the forged components in the earlier 2.4 cars, however it began 2006, and I believe I had read just recently it was 2006 and 2007 that had the forged components and then it stopped in 2008 and on. I have a 2006 2.4 with a turbo setup that looks exactly like the one in this video except different brand.

@@TheNobleLoyalist just to correct since I've researched this endlessly enough to become a mild expert on it, the 06-07 le5 was not forged BUT the rods were made from gkn sintered metal (gm referred to them as forged due to higher strength, but dont be fooled they handle far less than a real forged rod) and the 08+ rods were made from c70 powdered metal, this difference in manufacturing technique made the later rods weaker. The le5 crank has never been forged but does seem to handle north of 500whp without problems. The only forged ecotec crankshafts came in the lk9, lsj and lnf blocks. A base le5 from early production runs can handle a little above 300whp with a properly tuned turbo, the later series blocks handle about 250 reliably but as with all mass production these are ballparks not absolutes. With rods from molner or carillo and pistons from wiesco or diamond you can see 5-600 whp reliably using methanol injection to keep the cylinder liners cooler( ecotecs love methanol injection). The biggest problem with running high boost is the entire valve train is a hydraulic system that uses oil fed lifters to keep the cam in contact with the rollers and actuate the valves. The higher the boost the more trouble the lifters have overcoming the cylinder pressure on the exhaust side eventually leading to valve and piston touching and destruction. Gm itself switched to solid lifters on its drag ecotecs.

The guy's on the sky forum stated Dave from DDMworks said this creates zero HP gain and doesn't help with air flow. Im interested in buying but is this soley comestic?

Job Done Right - The charge pipes do allow for better airflow at higher engine rpms, and with higher lb/min airflow from the turbo charger. These are a supporting modification that allow our Stage 2 and Stage 3 tunes to breathe easier in the upper RPM range. Simply adding the pipes themselves without the tune will not gain you any power, since the ECU's stock program has a "learn down" feature that prevents the engine from making more than the factory programmed power output. All of our tunes have the "learn down" feature defeated. DDMWorks does not tune the Solstice and Sky first hand, and do not have the tuning experience with these cars that we do. They use a 3rd party service called Trifecta to provide a tuning solution for their customers. We write our tunes in-house for each unique customer's car, and perform a few hours of datalogging and revising of the tune to calibrate the car properly. The charge pipes happen to be nicely cosmetic as well, which is an added bonus. We paint ours either to match any factory color, or in custom colors depending on your preference to really help them stand out under the hood.

So, you had stated that we need the stage 2 and 3 tunes done by you guys. Is that something you do on the computer or do we have to bring our car there? I'm hoping you can do it over the internet since I live in Ohio and coming to AZ. isn't an option.

Just bought a Solstice GXP, really enjoying it in stock configuration but you get the sense there's more power there. You may hear from me soon to get an ECM tune and charge pipes. Thanks!
