If you used a peltier device, you could change the color backwards faster by cooling it.
Anyone else find this strangely calming?

Shannan Crosson we did not, although we wished we had microspikes, which were very popular on the trail under these conditions. Many PCTers also had ice axes, but you should make sure you have proper training for that if you plan to take one with you!
Why did you guys ditch the snowshoes after Mammoth Lake? Was debating if they are actually needed. I will be on the trail July 3rd 2017 and this is a record snow year.
Mark Henkel While the snowshoes were nice to have, overall we felt they slowed us down, and found ourselves carrying them on our backs more often than not as the days wore on. By the time we got to our resupply at Vermillion Valley Resort, we decided to ship them back to ourselves, which ended up being a good decision for us. Without snowshoes, expect your boots to be exposed to lots of moisture. Highly recommend either waterproof boots with gaiters or lightweight shoes that will dry quickly.
Thanks for the good tips. I decided to go with trail runners with gaiters. Wearing boots in wet conditions, my feet never dry out, especially with gortex.
Mark Henkel good choice! it'll be a crazy year to be on the JMT, but on the bright side, seasons like this make for a truly unforgettable trip. Be safe out there. I can't wait to return to the JMT myself.

DO NOT buy from this company. They accepted my return, said they would issue my refund, but didn't! Three months later, they are ignoring my emails and I assume have simply stolen my money.

I bought this Cregle Ink from Cregle Store Website, but there is 75 days from the buying date and product does not arrive yet. The post office don't have any information about the tracking number that Cregle sent to me. I tried to contact at cregle e-mail many times, but they didn't answer my questions. How can i proceed? I'm also looking for an app for my college courses to take lecture notes and in clinicals. I like to have the audio feature like in Notability, have seen reviews for Notes Plus, Penultimate, Noteshelf, Good Notes, etc. but what do you think is best, that includes the recording of lecture feature? Also, I'm using an iPad mini. Thanks for any feedback, guys! PS Cool presentation, thanks! At least I know which pen I want to begin with!!! (I don't want to be "that guy" banging away at my device in class! I love the quiet respect this pen brings to the table...)
Try ZoomNotes - it has all the features you are looking for including 'linked' audio recording. It also has excellent electronic stylus support including calibration and 'slow-smoothing' for active fine-tip pens like the Cregle Ink.
How heavy is the pen? Is there any lag?

these are susceptible to UV if left outside or near a window. 25-30C is the temp range for touch sensitive. search Thermometersite in google to buy some.

I'm not sure, but I imagine for quite some time as long as they aren't exposed to extreme temperatures or mechanical stress. Hope that helps!
That was an incredible trip! It was fun to watch all the different clips just raw like that. Gotta say my fav line was, "So here we are, to our know ledge, this is what the JMT should be like, smooth trail, a lovely stream, a log for Abe to cross on." hahah, well done after so many days of snow & ice bridges.
