    Hi When the film is complete, does it auto rewind or do I need to press the button at the botton? I had a roll recently that got all caught up in the camera and i had to cut it out which was a nightmare, want to make sure I don't do that again! Thanks

    • @valentinsfotoparadies8708
      @valentinsfotoparadies8708 7 дней назад

      Hi Emily, It should automatically rewind once the film is fully exposed. If it does not, you can activate the small button on the bottom of the camera. All the best, Valentin

    @user-bp3xr1ol3g 1 minute ago I haven't gotten my film back but makes sense when you mentioned pressing the shutter to get the counter from "S" to "1" -- seen complaints online that the camera does not auto wind on closing the film back so one does not know if the film is properly loaded until the first shot. Maybe they got different L35 or faulty ones, or load in the dark for an extra frame?

    • @valentinsfotoparadies8708
      @valentinsfotoparadies8708 10 дней назад

      I think a lot of people do not know that you have to "take a shot" in order to let the camera advance the film to the first frame... did everything work well with your L35AF?

    • @user-bp3xr1ol3g
      @user-bp3xr1ol3g 9 дней назад

      @@valentinsfotoparadies8708 Yeah it's almost like a mechnical camera in that regard. Another thing I found interesting is the winding does not happen until the shutter is released. I actually have a L35 AD2 but there's not that much info out there. My parents never got to getting it fixed. It kept winding when batteries are in and the shutter was sometimes stuck. Suspected that something in the shutter/counter mechanism was broken and not giving feedback to stop the winding. The repair technician said the motor was also weak and harvested one from a donor body. I'm working through the first roll after repair!

    • @valentinsfotoparadies8708
      @valentinsfotoparadies8708 9 дней назад

      @@user-bp3xr1ol3g I think the fact that the camera does not wind until you release the shutter button is actually really nice for street photography. You can just snap a shot, walk a couple of steps and then let the film wind. Fingers crossed everything works on your L35AD2. I actually sold mine a month ago. The finder was kind of blue which started to irritate me and became the reason why I sold it.

    • @user-bp3xr1ol3g
      @user-bp3xr1ol3g 2 дня назад

      @valentinsfotoparadies8708 Yes, that's pretty nifty, I'll have to remember that next time people are in the scene. It was pretty noisy where I shot the first few frames, making me think the photo wasn't taken on shutter press but when I eased off the shutter lol thought the repair shop messed up. Hope you come across another interesting camera soon!

    hi bro thank for making this video can i ask what is the use for ♾️ and +EV mode ?

    • @valentinsfotoparadies8708
      @valentinsfotoparadies8708 23 дня назад

      Sure dude! The first one is the infinity mode, which means that the camera will always focus on infinity. It can be very useful if you know that you want the camera to focus on infinity, e.g. landscape photographs. The EV mode means that the camera will overexpose the picture which can be useful in backlit situations. All the best, Valentin

    When I get to the end of the roll and I continue to crank after 10, it gets stuck. I tried moving the little tab under the count window, rotating the back, flipping the multiple exposure lever, removing and reinserting the dark slide, and a combination of all these things. I ended up opening up the film back in a dark room just to be safe. Has happened twice consecutively. The roll was wrapped properly both times but from what you show in the video, and as I have experienced before, the film advance lever should crank with very little resistance after the film has completely moved to the take up spool. Any idea what is going on? I only found one mention of this on forums and no one provided an answer that I didn’t try above.

      @valentinsfotoparadies8708 Месяц назад

      Hi there! If the batteries are fresh and the camera makes no sounds (also when you're loading the film and nothing happens) that's usually a bad sign. Have you already taken a look at the battery contacts? Sometimes they are dirty, especially when the owner before forgot to remove the batteries and they leaked... if that's the case, try some cleaning alcohol and cotton swabs :) All the best, V

    Hello ! Thank you for your video, it’s very well explained! I have a question, I found an AF-E, when I put batteries the flash works and I hear the film location (idk how it’s called aha) roll. However I don’t know if my rewind button works. If your camera has no film and you press the rewind button, is there any noise? Because mine doesn't make any sound, and I'd like to avoid wasting a film to test it aha. Thank you

    • @valentinsfotoparadies8708
      @valentinsfotoparadies8708 2 месяца назад

      Hello there and thanks for commenting. I am not sure if the camera makes a sound if you press the rewind button without firm inside of the camera. What I would suggest is put a roll of into the camera shoot it, and if the camera is not able to rewind the film, going into a dark space where there is absolutely no light and manually put the film back into the canister. all the best and good luck with your camera!

    Hi, I have a Canon New F1 and I have a question about the back of the film door. Your F1 and mine, has a holder on the back of the film door. I use this holder on the back of other cameras I own to hold a piece of the film box so I always know what film is in the camera. However, I can't find a way to put that part of the film box into the holder. Are there any tricks I can use to get it in there?
