Maycroft de certa forma desprezava envolvimentos emocionais, pois, acreditava que provocavam dor, porém nunca conseguiu parar de amar seu irmãozinho e sofria do mesmo jeito. Se era pra sofrer de qualquer forma, teria sido melhor se ele tivesse sucumbido a um amor na história (fosse por uma mulher ou por um homem). Se eu tivesse criado esse personagem teria lhe dado uma companheira, mas, aínda bem que o personagem não é meu, pois não teria sido tão lindo quanto é... complexo, poético, intenso.
