To the best of our knowledge, changing difficulty levels does NOT disable achievements - at least not globally. It causes your save file to be labelled "Custom". However, some achievements are strictly related to specific game modes. For example - "To Live Forever" is an achievement given to players who reach the center of the galaxy in Permadeath mode. If you are not in Permadeath when you reach the center, you definitely won't get the achievement. What happens if you play Creative and switch to Permadeath just before reaching the core? I don't know. I think I will try it in a save file of mine, and let you know. Currently, I don't have that achievement, so - interesting question. Thanks! GGF

@Quint1975 I am very eager to reach the stage that I have so many subscribers and so many comments that I'm unable to answer all of them but that is still a long time from now. For now I really try my best to answer or at least react with a heart or a like on every comment on my channel.

I completely forgot - you cannot switch from or to Permadeath after the game has started... You just can't. The game won't let you. And the achievement of reaching the galaxy core in Survival mode - I already have this achievement, in my Steam saves. I checked my Xbox saves - no Steam achievements there, but reaching the galaxy center in Survival mode gives you the Banner "GoodGuysFree the Survivor" and I have this in both my Steam copy and my Xbox copy, so I can't test that. If you decide to test that, I'd appreciate if you could let us know what happens.

@@ggfnmsvids I'm playing on GoG version and not sure if the achievements on GoG are the same as Steam.. I'll check it when I get the multitool and upgrade it. I'll know if that has disabled the achievements.

You mean you have a save file with almost 16k. The upload limit for a single base is 3k parts. I have to tell you... I never thought I'd reach the 16k limit, but you saw the video. It took me a long time to get to that limit. The base I have that is very close to 3k parts took me endless hours to build. Yes, the limit is still there, and yes it feels like it's not enough, but in truth I think it's probably fine for 99.9% of the players. And me? I don't mind starting another save. In fact, I probably should. GGF

Helldivers 2 is not really the type of game I usually enjoy playing, and if I don't enjoy it, I definitely don't think I have something worth making videos for... I'm a builder, an explorer, a traveler. GGF

I am guessing it depends on other things because I tried the numbers, and Google found court documents, government RFPs, and more. So - clearly these are dependent on the location you are executing the search from. But I love the fact that you tried - I didn't even think of it. GGF

I feel for you, my friend. There is not much you can do. If you look at my glass-dome base (see ruclips.net/video/Vj08OXp3NaI/видео.html) you will see that the dome is open-top. The dome is built from a 64-sided base, with 13 floor pieces extending out, and then about 7-8 pieces of triple glass window creating the dome structure itself. Now you do the math - 64 x (13 + 8) = 1344 parts. Originally I created a 128-sided base, and wanted to make it gigantic, needing about 20 floor parts extending from the middle. and more than 30 glass to close it. That would come out 128 x (20 + 30) = 6400 parts. Bummer. Think how you can reduce parts. Like I did by deciding to go back to 64-sided on that dome, and deciding to leave it open to the sky instead of completely enclosed. GGF

I don't know. As Zach said in the interview, their first 2 points of focus are performance, and progression. I'm really hoping they'll do something about the performance, because my old graphics card constantly hiccups, making recorded footage problematic. Whatever they put into the latter update, I hope they deliver a proper change list. If all goes the way I hope, next "What's New" video will be out much faster, bit I can't give details yet. GGF

Thank you. It's just that each video takes me something on the order of 1.5-3 hours of work per 1 minute of fully finished video. I spend some 10-15% of the time thinking how I can improve things, make them faster, and this specific video actually took me only 2.5 hours of work to assemble the footage and record voice-over, but rendering takes additional time which my PC can't play the game, so... Anyways, I said this in the past, and will repeat - I intend to make a build tutorial, but if my No Man's Sky building tutorials are any indication, the effort to make such a video and do it well is at least 2x more effort, so I am still gaining experience. Plus - I recently joined @nmsricey 's team in the Light No Sky challenge, so some of my time goes there too. Oh... And there's also my family. And my day job. It's going to happen, but don't hold your breath - it's not in the next week or so, probably at least a month away. GGF

Of course you can... In fact it's better to have multiplayer turned off when you go to the planet... Otherwise there's a chance someone else might get the mt before you, but when multiplayer is off, that won't happen and you'll get the tool...

As a rule, when you place part number 3001, you lose the ability to upload the base. Period. About a month and a half ago, I re-verified this after another viewer of this video asked if this is still the case. Having said that, I believe some people have placed multiple base computers at the closest distance that the game allows (see Beeblebum's scaling video ruclips.net/video/xOsW8TPYBhM/видео.htmlsi=XoSIurUlgt6SJd6q - he shows how he finds the exact minimum distance), and maybe that lets them place more than 3000 parts in close proximity.

@@ggfnmsvids The maximum base parts limit in No Man's Sky increased from 3,000 to 3,500 in the game's Beyond update, which was released on August 14, 2019. This update introduced several significant changes and improvements to the game, including expanded base-building capabilities.

@@ggfnmsvids You got it wrong again as like I keep saying it's 3'500 NOT 3''000. You can upload a base with 3'499 parts as the maximum parts was increased in the Beyond update, which was released on August 14, 2019.

I recorded a short video especially for you, @scottbrady9477 - it shows me adding parts to my base until I cross the 3000 mark, and the base becomes not-uploadable. Wouldn't be the first time a disgruntled wife said bad things about her husband. If this was a scam - the wouldn't be putting out weekly updates for 3 years, and - they would be trying to leech money out of people. You're entitled to your opinion about the level of the graphics, and while I think you are correct that the game still looks premature, I do not think it is a scam. And you know what - you don't like it - don't play. It's fine. There are other games out there that I would love to play and you would hate, and other games that you would love and I would not enjoy. It's fine. And there's no need to use such strong language. You have a valid opinion, and I can't (and won't try to) prove you wrong. Think about it this way - if you were one of the team that got ridiculed so much - would you have the "stamina" to keep working another 3 years on the game? GGF

Look, I'm not saying the guy's a saint. He isn't. I'm not a saint either. Saying someone is disgruntled does not exclude the possibility that the person has every right to be... Having said that, I am looking at what this game has right now. This is my opinion about the game now. Your opinion about it, and the fact that you feel so strongly and take the time to respond in detail - this is a good thing. I love my viewers to be passionate, even if you disagree with me completely. Now, if the guy was a real (redacted) 3 years ago, he might still be, and he might have grown up. If I look at the evidence I have about the past 2 years, I don't see the scam, I don't see a compelling enough reason to hold a grudge. Certainly not a reason to hold someone else's grudge. If you feel you've been personally wronged by the game's team, then ignore it. As for what other games I play: NMS, Starfield, Ark, Valheim, Dreamworld, Satisfactory, PalWorld, Halo, and a few others. Why don't I put them in my channel? I intend to answer your question in depth, but that requires a video of its own (LOL). The short answer - DW's build-system is way more flexible, and yet suffers from being a work-in-progress - in more ways than one. In other words - if I were to assess according to several different criteria - there would be criterions in which NMS comes on top, and other in which DW comes on top, and saying which one is better is kind of subjective - which of these is more important to you. I will eventually (probably in the coming months) create a video to describe my building experience in the 2 games. Thanks!

We can argue about it if you like, but it's clear that by now I won't be able to convince you otherwise. If 500 things are bad in the game and one gets improved, the game has improved. No, it doesn't make the game *good*. Just a bit less bad, which is not the improvement you're looking for, I know... I'm going to keep watching this game. Maybe they'll pull a No Man's Sky here in 4-5 years... LOL

You know - I think it is amazing this game, with all its mediocre quality, has managed to generate so much reaction. Even the view-count on my SF videos behave crazy. This video got like 200 views in the first 2 days, which is pretty bad. Somehow on day 3 it already got 500. Very strange.

My first response was to say " Yeah, but a bit less, now". But really, I don't think it sucks. It has many issues that scream to fix them. And still, I like playing it from time to time.

I fully understand the sentiment. And yet, I find myself returning to play a bit every now and then. GGF

Well, no survival "mode" per-se in the update, but you can change your gameplay to make it a lot harder, becoming close to survival mode.
