First off, I actually forgot about it to be honest, but secondly, due to the nature of this mission, it is quite a slow crawl anyways, due to the enemy's heavy entrenchment, so the armour doesn't add that much.
Hey there I have a problem with this mission. So when I get reinforcements and then the Hauptmann says "It looks like these are all thats left. Kill them!" after killing a few it should end right ? with them retreating. Well the problem is that even after many reruns through this mission I never got victory screen even after clearing the whole map with fog turned off and IDK what to do. Also I never got the last message saying that they are retreating. I tried keeping some alive for some time but still didnt help.
mmm, that is weird indeed. In the video, that is at 1:57:08 . So yes, from there they don't get reinforcements any more, and you need to kill the rest then eventually the rest run away. So yes, it should justt auttomatically conclude. Are you perhaps running mods. sometimes mods can interfere with the mission scripts, that is all I can think, otherwise I don't know what the problem could be
I see there is a fix in this mission in the newest update for the game. Maybe give it a go now again to see if it's fixed
Shooting doesn't negate the smoke or bush stealth bonus completely, it simply decreases it. A sniper for example can be spotted if he shoots in the open. But inside a bush or smoke cloud, he remains unspotted.
Is this game have campaign?
Yes, but not in true form. It has scenario's bunched together as a campaign. So each mission is still technically it's own thing
The game is stupid. I've been trying to stealth it, but the "detection" system is the jankiest thing in this long series of janky games. I'm amazed you got as far as you did, or even just taking out that first rocky encampment -- I took a few out and moved on as it was juts too stupid.
Yeah, the stealth mechanics aren't the best. But that is why I enjoy actually beating it without going full automatic, as it's quite challenging. Especially right at the end just before capturing the Hotel, where I effectively had to eleminate 2 enemy soldiers simultaneously. It took me a couple of tries

@@cynicusnihilisticusparadox2 I also felt like quitting the game out of frustration. It took me almost exactly 11 hours to finish Operation Cobra on Hardcore difficulty. After that, I decided to approach it differently and aim for all the game achievements. I planned to complete all the campaigns on Hardcore difficulty, but without stressing about it. Right now, I'm finishing the Battle of Hurtgen Forest while also working on the Stand At La Fiere mission from the Airborne campaign.
Where is that tutorial mission because I cant seem to find it ?
I haven't played in a minute, so I'm not 100% sure, but I think once they introduced the new Tutorial missions, the old one might have been removed.

Glad it helped. That is true, however, I think there is not too much that can be done, as the engine is not well optimized, but I will say, after the latest update the game seems to have gotten a great bump in performance. I also personally run DXVK, running the game in Vulkan helps keep the FPS more stable, but that might differ depending on what GPU you have.

I just started playing and found it's kinda tough. Most "tutorials/gameplay" videos are about dynamic campain only. I wish you would have made those videos with commentary, explaining what you did and why.

@@cynicusnihilisticusparadox2 Yeah, i meant the campain. Ofcourse i can play the tutorial missions myself. 😬 The campaign feels kinda tough, especialy as most units and stuff is preset. It's like loading a save game after not playing for 2 years... no clue why did this or that...
@@xiaoma5432 So I decided to upload my gameplay footage without commentary specifically , as I find most commentary doesn't add much, there are only a few RUclipsrs I've seen where it's actually of value and not word salad and talking for the sake of talking. So it actually distracts from seeing the actual footage. Another reason is that I tend to go quiet every time I focus up. But I have also thought about what you said, the problem with no commentary is that the viewer doesn't know why the player is doing things or what the thought process is going into a certain situation. So maybe with the next DLC's missions I will try a hybrid approach of intermittent commentary before make moves as long as it adds value to the viewing experience I will keep it in. But I will see how that goes.

Thanks man... You make sure that the Binoc's are his selected weapon and then you use "Attack Ground", which is F6 by default I believe. And then where you click he should keep looking there.
Thanks for the guide! Very interesting stuff about stealth. One thing i'm curious about is if a stealth unit( ie Sniper ) placed in a bush can be uncovered even at less distance by the enemy? Tried to test it by myself but i totally fail with the editor.
A second thing: you showed that stealth units are able to move up closer to an enemy before uncovered. What if the enemy is a scout unit, does it "counter" the stealth effect of the stealth unit and discover it the same way as it discovers normal units?
Hey, Yes, the Bush counts as concealment, so he is much harder to spot. The lower he is to the ground the harder it is to spot. For example a sniper that is prone in a bush and not moving is way more difficult to spot than a sniper running in the open... So in terms of Stealth and distance detected it goes like this from least stealthy to most stealthy. Running in open>Standing/crouching in open>crawling in open>moving behind coverage>standing in bush>crouching in bush>Prone in Bush. This changes things from being spotted at 60m (Running) down to like +-10m at the lowest end. So after I typed this, I read your question again. Yes, there is always a minimum distance that he WILL be uncovered. So you cannot sneak right up to enemy soldiers to stab them for example, you can through a knife though (+- 25 m). And I think the minimum distance is 5m. So even if you are proned in a bush and you are right behind an enemy, he will still spot you. Also remember that Binoculars carried by officers always reveal you, even if you are in concealment. So an officer can spot you no matter the distance if he uses his binoculars on your location.

Hahaha, glad it helped... It helps with another aspect also. If your guy was spotted before being killed, even if you smoke up around him, as soon as he is revived, he is made visible again for 5 seconds(The game picks it up from the last action when he was alive). However, if you carry him away he is still in the "dead" state, i.e not revealed through the smoke, This way you can carry him to safety, rev him and he won't immediately be shot down again.

Good game! Your casualties were much lower than mine. I failed to spot the truck and make use of it. Can you tell me please: what are the little silver/white stars next to the soldiers weapons? Some have 3 and others 4 stars.
Hehe, yeah, let's just say that wasn't the first time I played it. That indicates weapon proficiency. So you'll see more elite troops like T4 troops have more stars and same with veterancy, the better the troops get youlltsee their efficiency with those weapons go up, I.e more stars, and same with vehicles. The highest vet in a vehicle gets used for the crew proficiency

The automatic captions don't support the language in the video. The video is too long. The video has poor sound quality or RUclips doesn't recognise the speech. There's a long period of silence at the beginning of the video. There are multiple speakers whose speech overlaps or multiple languages at the same time.

Battlefield Soundscape mod: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2829617084 Currently not working with the new sound overhaul, so if you want to use it, you have to run version 1.037 of the game
There is just one correction I would like to make on this video. The move at will for vehicles doesn’t actually work properly for User controlled vehicles. The only reason it worked so well in the video is because the vehicle was under Full AI control(You can see that with the little AI Icon next to the Unit Icon). The only way I have found to actually use move at will for vehicles is to group them with at least 2 infantry and then put them into move at will, however, there is still a bit of a trick to this, as the infantry needs to be the "squad leader", thus you will see that the group falls under infantry, and not under vehicles in the selection panel on the left hand. I will also explain this better in a future video, as I don't think it is as useful anyways, as the vehicles tend to get themselves to close to the enemy very quickly and any surprise AT will destroy them quite quickly. That being said, the Move at will for infantry works 100% as I demonstrated in the video, even though they were also under full AI control.

A note on the mounting of the guns on Tripods or vehicles is to mount it, someone has to be inside the vehicle, or in this case, crewing the tripod.
Yeah, sorry, I don't know what I did with the Audio in this one, it ramps gets very loud from 16:26 all of a sudden, I must have messed up the audio normalization somehow.

It was a bit soft in the beginning and then gets way loud from 16:26. Might have messed up the audio normalization somehow. However, i can't tell if trolling or not. Tested it on 3 different devices, including phone speaker. It's soft but still very audible. So in case you weren't trolling, check your audio settings, or you might actually have a bad JBL Headset?

Great work brother, also for picking amo, you can queue them with MAJ, one thing i still don't understand is how mines are working. i pick them in crates or trucks with a whole squad, and just two or three guys have all the mines in their inventory, meaning it's so time consuming when you want to place them quickly.
Things like mines, bandages, ammo and grenades are supposed to be spread out through the squad equally when you collect them, however, I know some items don't distribute properly, like smoke grenades for example, they all go into the one persons inventory. However, with mines they are supposed to spread out, are you sure the other units have space in their inventory? Otherwise I don't know why they don't distribute properly. Also, I found that if you have a whole squad laying mines, its best to right click drag rather than shift click where you want to put mines, otherwise they sometimes don't do it right.
