Transport Heritage Expo Day 2, 1st Of October 2023
On Sunday the 1st of October 2023 Transport Heritage NSW ha their annual Transport Heritage Expo at Central Railway Station Sydney. This weekend featured various locomotives and rolling stock such and steam locomotives 3526, 6029, 3642 & 3801. Diesel locomotives 42105, 4201, 4501, CPH Railmotors 1/3/7 & Electric Red Rattler F1. There was the Pullman & Southern Aurora dinning carriages on display.
In this film you will see videos taken at various locations such as Central, Redfern. Sydenham, Tempe & Rockdale Railway Station of 3526, 6029, F1 & the CPH Railmotors off on their shuttle runs.

This years Steamfest had less trains due to hive of activity of other events around that time.
They only had 2 Steamers because that what they usually want for a normal non-anniversary year

no foot pedal on the fire door?
On the cab floor there is a foot button for the firebox door that is steam operated though it is not currently operational on Steam Locomotive 5917. Possibly in the future The Picnic Train may restore the function.

Is R766 standard guage or broad guage???
R766 is Victorian Locomotive that got converted from broad to Standard Gauge and lives in the NSW Hunter Valley.

Yeah I did the unthinkable HAHAHAHA these were all clip I took on the same day I filmed 3801 cross the Sydney harbor bridge, so all the footage was pretty much taken while waiting for the 38s train. Just you wait there will be a sequel to this garbage called "Steam In New South Rails Goes Rogue II" it have to be even worse than the first because sequels are always crapper than the first and a longer run time 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The 621/721 pair likely heading toward Woodville Junction so they could diverge after Maitland for Telarah and onto home base, Paterson, but the CPH "Tin Hares" heading in the other direction? Ah.... Headed for Sydney(the "Big Smoke", Newcastle's "southern-most suburb" LOL)
