Just wondered how Jared dealt with being taken seriously by senior more experienced designers in the industry being young at 21 and a babyface without commercial experience? What's his motivation to succeed?

39:30 - 43:14 <- the 4 minutes that could save some designers 3-4 years and understand the true nature of design (within a business and the adage of ' the tools you use do not quantify the level of skill you have'). Hats off to you, Jared!

this dude is really intelligent. i'm glad you asked about how race affects him as a designer. i thought his answer was great, not necessarily how he directly answered the question, but b/c it shows the amount of thought that has to go into it for someone like him in dealing with things like racism, discrimination, mentalities, etc. if people could try to understand what it's like to have to think about these things daily, we're in a better place. great interview.
