I am pretty sure there are techniques that thin M1, and remove strain. A chest dominant mix can go VERY high. Dio rarely sounds like he uses actual head voice. No sound in head voice would get me to sound so dark and beefy. Bruce Dickinson as well. I very much doubt he's constantly in head voice. It's a matter of proper technique, and practice

80's Metal you sing from the back of the throat like you're yawning tighten the muscles in your throat and realize to project. 90's Metal you sing forward like you're kissing someone pushing the Air Flow forward not back . The problem is that you can strain your vocal cords singing either way if you don't do it properly.

I can get the sound your demonstrating around minute 3:00 and sing it on a wide range of notes (from my middle-lower until almost my highest notes) but i can´t seem to get how to sing actually lyrics with it. As long as I do an "Eh", "Ey" or "Oh" I get it fairly easy. Any tips?

On the screaming thing, I was able to find the place to reach those higher notes along with working through the breaks in my voice. Eventually I was able to clean it up but it was hell on my vocal chords. Definitely isn’t the smoothest way to do it, possibly harmful.

Fry screaming has been a fix for my anemic breathy voice. No other way I could get into rock singing. I can kinda compare my voice to a bridge pickup on a guitar: very thin clean, but good for dirty sounds.

At 3:00 getting the resonance forward, do you do that by lifting the back of the tongue, or do you squeese the vocal closure? Muscles? Haha those are the two ways i can get that sound and the latter actually helped me get really high, but i feel like phusically squeesing those muscles is bad no? Doesnt hurt at all, but i've been thaught to have a relaxed throat all the time🤔 it is basically applying HARD closure of the vocal folds, is this correct or not?😅
