if it works it works!! i have like 40 hours in diabotical rogue all of which were on my desk with ceramic skates haha i tend to recommend the pulsar superglide as a safe and relatively inexpensive starter glasspad, but if you can find good deals on stuff like the padsmith empress or skypad then they should all give you a decent idea of what glass is like

hell ya, glad you like it!! and i agree, even though i like the surface of some other pads more the superglide xxl is maximum comfort still

it's some sleeve i was recommended by huddled years ago only available on amazon.jp, but for glass you can use basically whatever

i think the pulsar superglide is a pretty safe pick as far as glass goes

it would seem that my aim is just immediately better when i put pledge on my mousepad (sp 3.0)

Pledge has citric acid in it, that will damage any coating on the pad you use and over time remove it completely. I'd much rather just use slower skates than to risk damaging the surface.

@@kami3449 if you bought a mousepad with a coating you may have irreparable braindamage (just my opinion) edit: PLEASE GOD explain to me what led you to the conclusion that pledge has citric acid in it, I don't understand

@miclwastaken All current glasspad offerings have a coating from skypads to glsswrks to padsmith and so forth, the only popular pad that doesnt have one is the glaze. I have 9 glasspads with 2 on the way. A simple google search will also tell you exactly whats in pledge, using isopropyl alcohol above 70% will also damage the coating over time. There is nothing about glasspads that I am not aware of as I've been using them for over a year and a half. Also, I've spoken with the people in charge of a few of them like glaze, wallhack, glsswrks, Padsmith, and pulsar. They are in their own discords and twitter all the time and will gladly inform you or anyone else of the glass making process and what kind of coatings they use and what not to do to damage their respective surfaces. The information is out there, if you chose to ignore it, then that's on you.

@miclwastaken Incase you weren't aware, the 003 as well as the 004 has a chemical coating which is different from every other glasspad company. Pledge will actually deteriorate that 003 faster than a glsswrks for example because their coating is heat bonded with the glass itself. In case you also weren't aware, there are currently no glasspads on the market besides the ikea glass and glaze that doesn't have some type of coating.

If your mouse is still wobbling after the jades are broken in then either the base of your mouse is uneven, you pad is uneven, or your desk is uneven.

Its made that way for a reason, every glass pad is different, that pad is their niche. If you want more stopping power you can get very slow skates

@@vRyzø the beast is a more well rounded pure speed option imo, but yes the skypad 4 is very fast, especially with a good skate pairing

thank you! i haven't used the hien soft much so i asked viscose, and she said "they are honestly quite a bit different, i still feel like the the hien soft is pretty notably faster even with those specific hardnesses. the hien is still rougher, but it's closer than you'd expect."

@pinguefied i see, thank you. i ended up ordering zero soft bc i love the thickness and feel of my hien soft and i want to try something with more control.
