Nice video! New sub from my channel to yours!
That sucks and kinda cool at the same time I'm a land lock fisherman and has never seen a shark
The shark population is very healthy here in Florida
That looked like it was a nice snook
He had a nice little meal
That sucks
Do you eat any of the fish you catch in the Indian River? If so, what species?
Not so much these days, but I have been thinking about taking a sheepshead home. They have such a great taste.
Wow I twitch way too hard according to how you do it. 😅
Do you use the weedless version in 3/16 oz or is it the regular one? Thanks man. You slayed it in this video.
I use the regular open jig. The Texas Eye doesn't skip well enough.
This is sheepshead bait?
Excellent sheepshead bait. Check out my last video where I catch a sheepshead with one of these little guys. ruclips.net/video/ZcuMeDZueMg/видео.html I also have a 15 minute video where I show how to catch rig and use them to catch sheepshead.
Very nice John. I’ll have to try getting some tree crabs one day.
Thanks! You won't be disappointed
Bro where was this little canal with all the tarpon? I’m Jimmy McDyers step dad.
Hey Jim! It's been a while. This is a canal connected to the Indian River in Central Florida
@@JohnPageFishing are you near Sebastian? My brother just bought a house there
I'm not too far from Sebastian.
That was a really nice fish
Thanks!
What part of Florida do you fish
The Indian River
We arrived at Big Pine Key and set up camp. While snorkeling I found a small black crab in and amongst the Sea Urchins. I saved it to use as bait for night fishing. Instead of unpacking my fishing gear I put that crab on a #2 Freshwater hook and lowered it off the sea wall near our tent. Heck it never made it to the bottom.I had wound the 20 lb test line around my index finger. Whatever grabbed it was much larger than I expected. It nearly ripped my finger off. If I hadn't pointed my finger at it, i would have torn it off.
That could've been bad!
Good tip I’ll have to try that👍
Thanks!
Great tips. Thanks for sharing. Getting pics and video always adds an extra challenge. I have lost a few nice fish trying to get my camera going 😬 trial and error, and practice is key. Great top on keeping in water... that's one of the biggest reasons I bring my net.
The net definitely helps. You can always grab their lip with the death grip and keep them underwater if it comes down to it.
I like that tip a lot! I have been using a similar technique only using the 10s timer. Recording would be much faster for getting the fish in position and back in the water.
Glad it was helpful!
I've just starting using these and love the durability
I add a small amount of crazy glue to the inside and can catch fish after fish without even having to adjust it.
@@JohnPageFishing nice tip. You got a video on that?
I don't
@@JohnPageFishing be a good one ;)
Good idea
Great Tip, thats how I get my thumbnail many times!
That was dinner.... :-)
That's a real nice flounder John!
Crazy…what a battle! Congratulations!!
Thanks!
Thanks for taking us along! Great topwater action!!! High Noon
Glad you enjoyed it
Your control of the kayak in that wind is almost as impressive as the casting and catching in that wind! How you do that
Thank you! Credit goes to the trolling motor. Without it, I would be all over the place.
Nice fish bud. New subscriber here. Keep up the awesome work and good luck out there.
Thanks for the sub!
Great video and, as always, very informative. Thanks again 😁
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful fish! What a fight.
Thanks!
I just don’t see the mangroves I’ve been fishing near inlet being deep enough for snook to be chilling underneath. Even at high tide.
You'd be surprised how shallow they'll go. You can find 40" snook sitting in 10" of water
Slaying them. That’s crazy how many fish you caught in such a small area.
Structure, bait and moving water usually produce well this time of year.
Good see this.
Money cast 🤩for a big blowup. Doesn't get much better than that. Very nice
Thanks!
Damn good pin-point cast too, Brother. Best regards as always
Thanks!
Went to Bassmaster website Tuesday night . They had ICAST product preview. ZMan coming out with pre-rigged Huddleston tailed Shad !!! Some cool looking stuff coming
That was a masterful cast up under those limbs!
Thanks!
Da Mulletron could be a Trout / Hybrid / Striper slayer up here in Tennessee !
Thought i recognized that "rod wrapping" & Logo = Star Rods :))) Had the good fortune to buy my 1st Star Rod way back in mid 90's. Some Tackle Shop in Lauderdale. Six Foot Star Aerial caught everything from crappie to 25-30 pound Blacktip shark while surf fishing Canaveral National Seashore. Lasted 32 years !!! Caught some juvenile Tarpon this time of year out on Hwy 27 bank fishing. Never spent over a $100 on any spinning rod ----- might have to use part of my first Social Security check next year for a Zell Rowland Energy Series.
I love these Star rods. I have them in both medium and medium heavy. Very lightweight and durable.
As always, great video and super informative. I learn something new every time. You definitely have helped me become a better Florida angler much faster. Tight lines 😎🤙
Thats awesome! Glad to be of assistance!
Buy the 6 inch mulletron lt.
@@anthonymccue7013 I picked up a couple the other day. 😁
Hey Brother, what's a, "Tippet"? Is it adding 30lb Mono to 20lb Mono, then attaching the 20lb Mono to your Braid line, making the 30lb Mono the Tippet? I keep hearing about this Tippet, even in the other Community we're in, but I can't get an answer to what a Tippet is. (Even asked the coaches what it is, only to be ignored). Just looking to learn. Awesome video as always 👍
Thats exactly what it is! You get much of the benefits of a thinner leader with a short beefed up section at the end for snook and other fish with rough mouths. I use an orvis knot to connect my two leader lines. Whats the other community you're in?
@@JohnPageFishing Thank you for explaining the Tippet for me, AND what knot to use too. I'll PM you in the community we're both connected to. (Hint=Hint: It's where I found out about your RUclips videos and channel 👍)
Awesome stuff, really cool to see that little hole having tarpon and trout
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks John! Pretty cool with the multiple catches from one small spot. I likely would have moved on assuming everything spooked after the first catch.
Thanks! I knew the tarpon were at least still hanging around.
Very nice!
Thanks Steve!
Great video very informative my guy! Keep up the good work. You definitely earned a new follower!
Welcome aboard!
Dude! Awesome video and what a MASSIVE Jack! That’s a true yellow submarine there!
I appreciate that, Knox! I couldn't believe how big it was when I first got a glimpse of it.
Do you eat them?
No. I only use them for bait.
Hey page hope all is well. I have some sad news Dan Brobeck passed away. You remember him right?
Nice video and catch John!
Thanks Steve!
Any advice on locating in fresh canals? Thdy seem to appear in 100 yd areas for 2 weeks and then nothing. Two spillway locks on 15 mile canal . some fish up to 48 inch
Tarpon are tough to figure out. In my experience, they follow the same patterns year after year though. In the brackish areas I know of, they'll show up and leave the same times every year. If they're not comfortable in an area, they'll head out.
