Biggest Hasbro pet peeve is definitely repaints that have minimal changes for full price rereleases. The only remnant I have from the Toybiz era, is the movie accurate Professor X wheelchair that my Hasbro Professor X actually pairs nicely with.

Respectfully, I feel we were spoiled and took Toy Biz for granted for that time. I would say they have the biggest pole shift for sculpts, but their paint apps would still hold up for today’s standards. Not to mention the additions to the figures such as bases, comics, accessories, vehicles. Today Hasbro would consider some of them Haslab tiers. Need I mention the SCALE OF THEIR BAFs? The Sentinel, Apocalypse, Galactus are compared to today’s Haslabs. We got a Puck, Jubilee, and Rocket Raccoon for Cheezit’s sake. Alas, good times are gone. The one thing I think we can all agree on is that the disappointing rapid increase in inflation and cost of licensing (Disney) has truly deprived of these once expected inclusions. The Golden Age has passed and may never be equaled again.

I think more Marvel legends can be better than what they are overall, especially compared to other contemporary toy lines at retail, like the Jada Toys Street Fighter figures, and even Hasbro's own GI Joe classified line, most figures are just reused body bucks with new heads, basic paint, and limited accessories, figures like Spiral, Lady Mandarin Psylocke, the Astonishing X-Men Wolverine, and the recently released Warbird/ Ms. Marvel, could and SHOULD be the norm, not the exceptions.

yaaaa so the figure is purposefully manufactured that way I'm pretty sure, if done several customs for people with this figure and the paint is exactly the same for all of them, including yours. hope this helped.

I think you need to realize in the end it is a toy. I don’t know why you thought it would be better on the next set? Pretty they are all manufactured the same time.

Hot take: I think we will experience a “we done with toybiz” scenario because of how often Hasbro’s work is STILL mocked despite us having the greatest year of figures for the line (articulation wise.)

My hot take, Face Off Captain America from Toy Biz is overrated. The hips joints are awful on that figure. His proportions on his back and torso are too big too. Sure, it was a good figure for its time, but there have been better Marvel Legends Captain America figures to come after it.

Nah the guy that spoke about Mafex QC is definitely right. I have 4 Mafex figures and 3 of them had major QC issues right out of the box while I’ve had dozens of hasbro figures and not nearly as many of them have issues as bad as Mafex

Hot take but the less paint a figure has the better. Too much paint on a figure and it can act like a glue getting joints stuck and at the end of the day these are action figures meant to be posed and articulated, too much paint also results in chipping. Plus not all paint jobs are created equal, do we really want more half assed, over priced Hasbro cel shading on the grounds of "well at least it's painted", even if that paint job is cheeks? Or sloppy black washes like what Toybiz used to do? If I want more paint on a figure I'll do it myself, even then it'll be minimal because Hasbro does a good enough job with the figures they put out.

Toybiz is superior when it comes to paint and details, just poor proportion.

A definite contender for top ten 6:46 Marvel legends for 2024. One tip for the tail. Heat up the tail, bend it the way you want and hold it for about a min. It wil stay in that position, as helped by the bendy wire inside it.

Youi can’t compare them bc one has been defunct for almost 20 years and used the technology that had been available, however pound for pound of both were making toys today thenToybiz is miles ahead.

Toy Biz had more unique sculpts and more detailed paint jobs. But the articulation was sometimes janky, they often experimented with new set ups that didnt work at all, and their female figures were often very, very rough. The only Toy Biz I keep in my collection is the Green Goblin, that thing is incredible and far better than any that Hasbro have done.

Short answer: FCK NO!!!!! The ball hip joints are SOOO nasty 🤮

Hasbro doesn’t come close to Toybiz, I’ll take the classics over the new stuff any day

I agree with the Toybiz take. They put so much attention to sculpt and paint detail that it wasn’t funny. The amount of paint variation we got over top of suits and stuff was crazy. The series one hulk isn’t perfect, but the variation over his skin and even textured lines in his nails still amaze me. Astonishing Wolverine also had great sculpt and paint detail (airbrushed orange variation and sculpted stitches on his suit). I know the proportions are dated by now, but I still love their figures and pick them up if I see them. They put more care into their figures than Hasbro.

Hasbro does it better but toybiz gave us more for less. Hasbro less for more. Toybiz- Ghost rider and his motorcycle 15.99 hasbro ghost rider amd his motorcycle 40, 50 ,60

I've seen MULTIPLE videos of Mafex figures.. especially Spider Man .. where the leg came off Also as far as weapons are concerned..i gave Zabu wave Cable the massive gun from Sasquatch wave Cable ..then i gave him the massive Deathlok gun.

C'mon man.. Hasbro is MUCH BETTER than ToyBiz!

Do you remember a Dark days of marvel legends & Spider-man Toys went Hasbro took over Marvel toy license from Toybiz Since 2007-2008 by releasing built a figure wave from some reason & Series Repains
