Yep gotta go for lakers they battle like crazy! Wow that’s awesome for him being four,he set the bar high! I hope I can get my 3 year old out again and also my 1 year old for his first time. @ the best thing we got for ice fishing with kids is a little folding kids cot. It’s like 24x48, set it up beside the heater and he can fish when he wants, relax and watch the camera, watch a movie if he gets really bored, whatever. It doubled or tripled the time he wants to spend on the ice in a day vs just sitting in a chair. He’s hooked now and wants to check every fish on the Muskie bumper that he calls “the leader board”. I try to make some beginner videos but like you said, it certainly isn’t easy trying to do that while watching kids and making sure nobody sticks a foot down the hole.

Yep I always bring my cot and her chair with toys and colouring! My daughter has spent a few 8 hours days with me and actually stays pretty busy fishing a bit then playing like you said if you plan and pack ahead they have fun out in the ice!

Hey appreciate the support and glad you enjoyed it! Glad it helped with your decision you won’t regret it,I really enjoy watching fish on mine! No he is a dog I got from a rescue and all we know is he has American Eskimo/ Malmute/ collie mixture. He loves to ice fish!

Yes just go into the Panoptix or Livescope menu on the Home Screen that is the transducer you are using. You can use traditional graphs with it but I haven’t really bothered unless your on the boat then the transducer your screen came with you can go into other sonar screens like Side View or Down view or the 2D but for ice fishing I only use my map screen and the Livescope screen!

Good luck once you get using it few times and set up those settings in Livescope setup it’s pretty user friendly and you will love it!

The Garmin LiveScope Plus LVS34 black box should be installed in a location with adequate ventilation. This is actually better to have it on the outside not in a compartment to keep it ventilated. I have never had any issues with it to hot or cold. I have heard of guys having the transducer come up with a hot or cold warning though but I haven’t had that personally.

Ordered it online at Bass Pro. It’s worth every penny! 👍

I wear the Deep River Adventure boots and this was a Striker Vortex suit.

@@DB-FISHING Thinking about getting a Garmin Echomap UHD2 93 SV Ice Fishing Bundle

If in the states get the 93 if in Canada get 95. I think Bass pro and Scheels has them on sale. The bundle would be good you may just have to update your pole. The one it comes with isn’t that strong.

I’m not sure what Ice bundle your referring too? This was all bought separately screen, LVS 34 and then shuttle and pole is Arc Lab and then bought separate lithium battery. This isn’t a bundle just parted all things together. As for new transducer the Livescope Plus LVS34 is Garmins top transducer and software. The hole hopper they came out with this year the P22 is definitely quicker to jump around but it’s also the Panoptix software. It’s older been around for awhile you won’t see what you will with a LVS34 transducer. Hope that helps!

@DB-FISHING there is an ice bundle with the lvs 32, 93sv for $2000 at sheels. Then they came out with the hole hopper for the same price, but it's the ps22 ECHOMAP. I don't understand the pricing at all.

Oh ok ya I had seen some people also questioning the price on the PS22 as well! Personally I have not used it or played around much with that Panoptix software. The LVS32 is pretty good though I would go with that ice bundle over the hole hopper but that’s just me!

This is all Arc Lab pole and shuttle. This is there Pro Series 2 piece pole ice bundle!
