Okuma lb25 insert drill install with coolant hose Please note: most insert drill use a X0 in the control tool data page. These Larger insert drill use a X.2 in the control tool data page as per drill manufacture specs. This allow the i.d. insert to be located in the center of the material. Anything other than X.2 will cause damage to the insert drill.

How do you get the machine to move that fast in manual mode? Our machine won't move without also depressing a safety switch so you have no free hands left. We do block the switch, no other way, but still it will not allow movement at more than 30 percent feed knob setting, if put higher the machine will give an alarm and cut out the movement. Thanks.
Cool. i need to do some readjustment on an Okuma LCS25. As I understand it, the X offsets are not put in the tool offset table but in a different place somewhere in parameters. i remember reading about it in the manual. First we need a co-axial indicator.

Moving the table doesn't make sense to me. I don't understand why they made the machines this way, then made the manual so hard to understand.

What's the point of removing back Allen bolts? If you pivot turret only around x-z plane - could you explain what purpose it serves undoing those bolts of back cover? Couldn't you just loosen those 4 bolts that visible in vid, align and tighten

youre wrong though there is the three socket head capscrews that you see with the pins i would remove thiose there is TWO !!!!!!inside the aluminum housing cover you keep referring to and the ONE bolt at the left corner UP that's a HEX bolt too
Use the tool load utility... After you do all that work you still need height offsets and diametral ... Do it in one step instead of two.

Please never use a tool or turret as a stop to lock the spindle. Just hold an Allen key and the chuck and knock it with an mallet, or just use an impact gun to loosen.
Shall i use a M19 for lock a chuck And then remove jaws?
After loosing the Allen bolts, you jump to software settings. Are missing the physical touch to realign it? Need help our OKUMA LB15 turret has moved CCW after small collision.

Yeah, I was like uhh fixing the X in the software ain't changing your Y location unless you tap on the turret in one direction or another.
dude get a haimer and use option 4 - much easier...

He told the machine the diameter of the edge finder. The machine automatically adjusts for half the distance

@PasiKuikka Yeah, I guess that's true. I work in a job shop with short run orders so I guess that's just what I'm used to. I constantly tear down and set up jobs using different tool and fixture offsets.
There is a cone component on the head turning machine which has a length of 1235 and this mold has come 30 and has been drenched 226. Vibration is coming too much on it, how to fix it

Very good! It's been awhile since I ran old Fadal this was a great refresh!
I will be running a fadal 4020 in a few days after about 15 years without running a fadal. To go to zero is there no way to go into mdi and simply enter the codes? Normally on all other machines after pickup I simply type in g0 g90 g54-x0-y0 and hit start. If there is no way to use g codes in mdi--and instead I have to go to multiple pages and relearn all fadals pages of a totally different system I will be lost the first day. Another question is the relative page for positions when such as to pick up center of a block I sweep one side and hit zero on relative then jog over and sweep the other side and divide the total distance by 2--then g91 to go to zero and zero the axis. I then go g54--and rapid over the same distance to confirm the edge sweeps zero. Those things above to me ive used for decades and hopefully I can still do that on the fadal. By not using the relative page to hit zero I of course can always look at the position and move over and do the math--however that also will be tedious--hopefully there is a way to use mdi and simply zero the part in the normal manner instead of 20 pages of fadal specific stuff. It will be fine after a day or 2 anyway. to me the controller quirks of each machine mean nothing after a day or 2.
