Yeah, I'm fine. I've been participating in the weekend Mechabellum tournaments today. I'm going to be participating in the second 'Trash Masters' event tomorrow. I've recorded lots of good gameplay, just trying to find the time to post some of it.

Some excellent points: - I was aware my WASPs were doing nothing in an attacking sense, but I fear selling them might encourage my opponent to hit me with a flank. The WASPs really seem to deter opponents from flanking. - I'm reluctant to spend any credits on my Fangs as they just seem to die instantly. I know many people give them both range, and shields, but that is a lot of credits (about 700?). I tend to use them simply as a distraction and wont spend any money upgrading them. - In hindsight, I think if I put range on to my Phoenix early they would have stayed back that little bit more. Had they been able to do some damage and start levelling up I would have started to spend on them for tech. My reluctance to spend anything on them rendered them useless for the most part during this game. - Crawler spawn is like WASP spawn. You can get away with it for one round, but usually get little value out of it during that second or third use. I try not to spend on anything that wont do a job consistently. - I would have liked to use my deployment specialist every round. Ideally I'd drop 4 units in every round. But, it's not always possible due to paying for levels and tech on pre-existing units. I 'll take your feedback on board. I'm currently in the process of developing a new way to play the game and it isn't as strong as it can be yet. It'll take time before I really start to understand it, and can perfect it. 1300 MMR is the level I want to be at and I do think I can get there once everything is dialled in.

@@pigeonstranglerFair points, although crawler spawn is later always viable as extra late chaff. If you want to keep wasps as protection, don't level them yet and safe the money

I’m currently 1700 MMR and 104,000 CP. I’d be willing to do some custom games and also review this video with you to give you some tips. Obviously, easy for me to say, but there were crucial opportunities every single round that you passed up on that would make HUGE differences. Conceptually, you do a lot right. But some of the errors you make if exploited correctly, is where I’m assuming you lose. Easier to discuss on discord or something but examples; You have marksmen tech on a lot of your units, and you spend a lot leveling them up, why not upgrade to marksmen tech? Would’ve kept your phoenixes alive. In the last round you upgraded a phoenix that only did 16K damage the previous round (nothing). If you really wanted to use that hacker, you could’ve sold the arch light with the laser sights, put laser on hacker, and replaced arch light. You would’ve stolen the whole right side of his army. Spending money on jump drive lets your opponent know you plan to move them after the flank (unless you’re trying to keep them guessing). You could’ve sold the wasps after the flank Also, grouping all your air units together when he’s running AA fortress is a very bad idea. AA forts are very hit or miss, but they definitely hit when everything is grouped together!

I shouldn't really upgrade chaff as it just gives the opponent free XP. A bad habit I guess. Arclights might have worked here, but the opponent just never put down any anti-air. If he fails to counter something, I'll just keep building more of it.

@@pigeonstrangler upgrading chaff is fine as long as they're getting work done. If your crawlers were getting kills by all means go for it. Heck even replicate if opponent still doesn't adequately answer them. Wraith wasn't a bad choice by any means, it's just that phoenixes are a good counter and I'm surprised your opponenet didn't rebuy them and upgrade with range to keep them far away from wraiths and stangs. You played a good game, just ended up getting away with a risky play that would get attacked the higher up you go in MMR.

@@PhoenixFlight94 I do know quite a bit about this game. I've played it for over 1200 hours on Steam. I bought it about 8 months ago. Yet, I've never been above 1000 MMR. Something about this game just isn't clicking with me, and I can't figure out what it is. I love the game, and have a lot of fun with it, but reaching those high MMR levels just seems out of reach for now. I'm going to keep playing and hopefully I stumble across the answer one day. I watch streams, I'm never off the Discord, I play the tournaments, etc. But yeah, there's just something I'm not getting as of yet.

The level 9 WASPs are like getting 12 Phoenix on steroids instantly. It's game changing.

I could yes. Although this new update is about to drop and we'll need to wait and see what the game is like after the rebalance occurs.

Thanks for the kind words. If you haven't played Mechabellum I highly recommend it. You can buy it off Steam for about $15. It's still in pre-alpha, but it's already a great strategy game.

It’s a great game. You can buy it from Steam for about $15 and its value at that price. I paid a lot more for games like Cities:Skylines 2 and haven’t even played them because I simply like Mechabellum more.

The game is fun. Easy to learn but hard to master

I thought it was 20. Still, 16 is impressive. There is nothing more satisfying than watching a blitz Rhino take out half of an enemy team 😂

@@JWQweqOPDH Yes, it does. It can actually be levelled up from just dying like this every round. What will really take a blitz Rhino to the next level is the 'Deployment Module'. That way, you can move it around between ever single round. Put it at the front, then a flank, then the other flank, etc. Very difficult to deal with, and it'll level up quickly. Once you are getting no more use from it - Sell it.

There's just some things that most of the high levels players tell you constantly not to do.

You wont regret it. Mechabellum is a brilliant game. However, it's not as easy as it first looks. It takes time to learn. Just try to have fun with it initially.

Yes, it makes it seem like a documentary. I really like it.

If you're trying to shoot down high health air units such as an Overlord, or Wraith, you really can't beat Marksman with the AA tech. If you want to shoot down WASPs or Phoenix then Mustangs are the better option. Normally I run both of these units anyway. Mustangs out wide to protect my flanks, and a row of 5 Marksman across the centre. That's seven units in total and they will take out almost every piece of air you can throw at them.
