I have the black Atlantic flyer and it's beautiful and so chronography. It's a working watch not a fashion chrono where you can't read the sub dials along with lost in the background hands. Incredible lume and nice big clear hands and dials. Its on a chestnut shade Haween leather hand made strap right now and I sometimes put it on steel although the ribbed strap it comes with is beautiful.

Thank you for your comment, it was a bit longer than expected wasnt it 🤣 but I wanted to emphasise the whole attention to detail you get unboxing a Marloe, and to be honest it was purely for fun. I’m a total novice.

Such a good looking watch, Marloe are currently selling these for £699! The only thing stopping me from jumping on one is the sheer size of it, sadly too big for my wrist.
It’s a real beauty I only have 6.5 inch wrists and it feels great, yes it’s deep but it doesn’t feel wrong, and the dial design makes it appear smaller too 💙,superb quality watch and at that price it’s incredible value too 💙

Alan, does this watch make some noise as it winds up / move your wrist? I just received mine and it seems a little loud.
Good morning, mine doesn’t make a noise as such you feel the rotor move a little every now and then when you shake it but not noisy, I would suggest contacting Marloe to seek their views and if not happy return it for them to inspect for you… they are incredibly helpful with stunning customer service 👌

@@Alanlewis59 I'm looking to buy my first WATCH watch and really like the look of this. Have a budget of £1000, the more I look at this, the more I love it. Would you say for a leather strap, eye catching piece, this is about as good as it gets in the price range? I've also seen the Atlantic spirit is down to £699 - any reason to go for this one over the spirit other than the look?
@@usmanmirza1648 it’s a beautiful watch I have the spirit too, they are exactly the same watch with just a different look, the spirit does have lume on the hands and numbers… so it’s really which you prefer, the spirit is excellent value and was reduced as it didn’t sell as well as the others in the range but I don’t understand why as it’s awesome👌

I used to have a lovely Lars Larsen Simon, really nice and weighty with a classic look - sadly it kept breaking - I guess the movements weren't up to scratch - or I had a faulty one - eventually they said they couldn't fix it and just refunded me - a great shame. Do you know anything similar , maybe a little more reliable - it seems Llarsen aren't as well made as the one I had now...
Darn kicking myself for not getting in on the Atlantic Blue Dial variant earlier, now there's a waiting list. Amazing watch design combined with the Seiko NE88 makes this Marloe a real winner. Great review!

Nice review. Quite a thing, Very Cartier in style I think, such a classic look that Cartier have always owned...and now Tudor are creeping in with lovely historic design interpretations. Totally timeless and classy, pretty good value too when you consider the brand and the build quality which is arguably Rolex standard. Historically Tudor was a subdivision of Rolex, I'm pretty certain about that....Well done for highlighting this discreet and beautiful thing. Another unwitting future owner is about to get a present.

A tasteful and delicate looking watch. This colour has now sold out and it’s easy to see why. The other colours do not grab the attention and are merely clean understated dress watches. Quite a competitive market and at their price point Im not so sure. The crown is interesting. That colour though 👍

They are currently selling off the Morar as it is discontinued due to poor sales. This is likely due to the slightly inflated prices, rather than the quality or specs. It is an original looking watch and I like the movement in it. It has been reduced to a more reasonable price and I am tempted. All the reviews of the watch from punters are complementary. £299 (May 2021). Helm-like hand presence; I like them

Indeed a very fine piece and also a great video, since you dont often find a review of this piece. It's great that your wife also appriciate this exquisite time piece! I call the Tudor Clair de Rose, the budget Ballon Bleu de Cartier :D This Clair de Rose offers much more value in terms of pricing and its spec in comparison to the entry level Cartier Tank. I found the automatique movement in the Tudor granted a more advantage, compared to the quartz in entry level tank, Albeit its off the shelf eta movement. Bought this piece for my fiance, now-wife as our first engagement anniversary present, now keeping it for our daughter!

I’ve a Coniston Speed, Haskell Green and a Morar Black. The coniston is the best in terms of looks and cost. Haskell is a beauty though but at a much higher cost obviously. Don’t think it’s easy to beat Marloe when it comes to spec and value for money

That's called the flyer, it's a great looking watch isn't it... I also have the Atlantic spirit which is the steel looking one and one thing I can say is they are all stunning, much better in the flesh too and incredible accuracy. 👌

Excellent detailed review of a really beautiful looking watch. It’s difficult to decide which one of the 4 to pick as they all look so good! I do like that the chronograph hands are slightly different colours to the time hands; the reliable and usually accurate Seiko NE88a is a good choice of movement and really nice to be able to see it through the magnified display back. Have to say the case finishing does look extremely good has a really nice shape to it too, definitely a dress piece though. It's great to see another local microbrand that's keeping pushing forward in these very strange times. For me personally the only thing that I would like to have seen would be a 20mm lug width instead of 18mm to me the strap just looks a bit narrow for the 40mm case width. Nice well balanced review.
Thank you, I agree with your comments re the strap, I guess that was the payoff with trying to make a gender free watch.. Hitting the balance just right, having seen the dark blue on Brown strap it does look more Masculine and the strap size seems to look better too strangely.. Glad you liked the review though that means a lot 🙏

Hi thank you for your comment.. I was worried that it might be too big and heavy when I first saw the watch. But it wears incredibly well, definitely not too big or heavy.. Its just right... I can honestly say it's one of my favourite watches to wear... Simply awesome.. And with marloe if you order and are not happy then they offer a 30 day return.. Provided its as received and in original packaging etc so you can order with confidence 👌
@@Alanlewis59 To confirm, I bought my first Marloe watch. I usually insist on having the date on my watches. But went for the Coniston as was a 40mm , arrives tomorrow. This Atlantic is the one I wanted but is too big for my wrists. Was close to getting the CW compressor but am sold on the style and casing of this watch. Thanks for your help.

Gorgeous watch Alan. The attention to details both on the watch and in the presentation is amazing. Seems like they've gone above and beyond with this one. I love the dial color and texture, I love the ribbed strap and the Art Deco touch on the buckle. Great review as always!
