I have 2 and they're great, however the spigot is too weak to hold anything. It just turns. I contacted Manfrotto support, and they said it's not supposed to hold anything!!!

If You've got an old entry level dsl like my Nikon d3100 it DOES NOT have a mic so this WILL NOT WORK. Just in case anybody with the same caera as mine is wondering why the mic doesn't work. That AV out jack is NOT a mic jack, so it won't work. You have to either record sound with an external recorder and sync in post (pain) or but another camera (expensive). Yay !
