Grotto 4x4 Offroad | Water Crossings!!! | Mission, BC
Who doesn't love a good ol' outdoor adventure once in a while? today, we decided to check out the infamous "grotto" along the lost creek fsr in Mission, BC. I've seen videos where the water was not as high, but during our time there, it was a bit higher than usual. Went with pretty much the same guys during our Hale Creek trip and it was fun as always! There were some tricky spots that a full sized SUV/Truck may have a hard time traversing, but fortunately for us, it was not the case. As per the rule of the land, we left the grotto site cleaner than when we found it. Along the way, we saw other off-roaders too and ATV's which made our trip extra epic!

Hale Creek | Easy Way | Exploring West Harrison 2023

Some friends and I decided to go on a trip "off the road" (HA! get it?) since most of us have only heard of, but never been to, Hale creek west of Harrison lake, we decided to check it out. It was a beautiful drive and the views were amazing. There are two ways to get down the Hale - the easy and the hard way. For todays trip we went the "easy" way. This "easy" way was quite the experience we s...

Don't get stranded! | Fuel stops along Highway 20 to Bella Coola BC

Highway 20 is also known as the road less traveled up in the Chilcotin/Cariboo region. It is a highway that goes all the way starting from the city of Williams Lake, all the way to the western town of Bella Coola. We had the opportunity to drive this way back in the 1st week of May 2023. The views are stunning and wildlife are often seen along the road. Highway 20 is a straight through road tha...

Boring as a hill 🎥🔈☕️☕️
what the one with the green connecter next to it ?
how are the AT 2 doing? I heard people weren’t happy with the original ATs so i’m hoping the AT2 is better. I need a budget set to throw on my truck for now and Amazon has them for $200 a tire cheapest i can get rn.
So far the AT2's have been amazing! no issues whatsoever. Comfortable ride and good steering and relatively quiet (not as quiet as the Geolandar AT tho) Solid set, but as for the AT1's I have no experience. Was lucky to have this set on marketplace for ($200 CAD!!!)
@@alecdelacroooz nice! Looks like these are probably my choice then for now. It’s hard to get tires shipped to hawaii rn before amazon had tons of options but now i found about 3 💀 btw you think there would be a big difference if i went 265/70 instead of my current 265/75?
@@_N4VE_ wow amazing! i'm from Vancouver crazy how my video was able to reach you in Hawaii! if you go 75 from 70... just make sure you won't rub along your fender and wheel well! and tire will be taller
@@alecdelacroooz oh no i meant i’d be going from 75 to 70 lol. And yah man crazy how your content can reach just about anyone in the world! lol gadda love the internet 🤙🏽 but on a side note I scored a set of BFG KO2’s for $250! Some random dude on my local craigslist got a new set of tires and no longer needed them. I was skeptical but they were in good condition and balanced fine! Has a ton of tread left too. 285/75/r16 basically 33s(32.8 to be exact) but surprisingly don’t rub with my leveling kit. they should last me a good while now before i have to buy a new set 👍🏽
Lifted ba yung rav4? Ano size ng tire pala?
Stock everything lang po! - American Racing wheels and K02's for rubber
Bro, do primer first before paint.
true... no point now, the vehicle I installed the drums on have been totalled about a year now :( haha
😅 easy trip and a normal day for people who grew up here
It was a fun trip!
Yeah mine doesn't have a connector from the harness and the plug is impossible to find
Good video. It may also be useful to show & explain how to remove the cable that's attached to the sensor.
Good point! its not hard, you literally just give it a nice pull and the wire will come off... to put it back on, just push it onto the sensor and it will "click" back into place.
good job boss. para to sa failed temperature gauge diba boss?
Correct po! direct line to from the sensor to the cluster Salamat!
Just bought Firestone at2 black wall tires….they are rated different than the raised white letter tires I have on my tundra previously. I believe the sidewalls are harder they have a stiffer ride but I still like them, I carry tow heavy loads on 😮occasion
Yes! truck size have a different load rating and stiffer sidewalls! the one in my video is for regular passenger only ... which is 2ply sidewalls
I work on cars and know how to change the oil BUT I just picked up a 98’ coupe EX and wanted to just see how it’s done on it and it’s crazy because I got exactly the same oil as you. I assumed it was best for this engine especially with 180k original miles.
Thank you for the view and comment! yes they're simple yet fun to work with cars! it is what got me into doing DIY repairs - which in my humble opinion, help you learn a lot and save $$$!! The brand of oil doesn't really matter (I have tried a bunch over the years) for me as long as its the same weight (5w-30) and I prefer synthetic, but yes, you can't go wrong with Pennzoil!
Last time i change my oil i have done exactly equal, oil touchin top mark, turn on the engine 45s more or less, 20 min after when i see the oil is under the minimun mark!! Never seen use such oil at first start after oil change!
Same, my level went down after going for a bit of driving so don't worry you're not the only one! This is why I always keep a bottle of oil in the back after doing my oil haha, Thank you for watching.
Believe it or not, that long drop-off next to the steep section of this highway is called Young Creek Canyon. You truly start going down the hill after you cross the bridge over Young Creek. And the drop down the canyon is as much as _320 metres._ You _do not_ want to be tempted to look down into the canyon, because it will give you quite a bit of vertigo.
wow thank you for that! can you point out the minute mark in the video for that drop off? thanks
@@alecdelacroooz I do not know in which minute of this video you encounter that maximum drop, but it is at about 52.429857°N 125.876455°W, just before you hit the two hairpins prior to the 15% downslope.
boss, pwede makisali next time???
pwedeng pwede naman sir!
Thanks I subbed liked how’s the si today? Do I need crush washer for top fill plug to?
Thank you for the comment, I don't think we used a new crush washer when replacing the top fill plug. So far it has been good, but if you got one might as well use it! :)
@@alecdelacroooz haha thanks I could understand lower change ima just do lower thanks again
what did you mean by this?@@mrslapside
@@alecdelacroooz sorry I meant I’m gonna use a crush washer on the drain plug for sure. Thanks! how’s the car today any major maintenance needed? I just bought one with 12k miles and I’m still trying to learn more about.
@@mrslapside 9th Gen Civic Si with only 12k Miles!? whoah thats a crazy good deal! mine will be getting a full brake replacement soon. Calipers have started seizing when driving so ima replace the rotors, calipers and pads on all corners. Other than those, car runs and drives great.
Hi, Alec! Would this tire be a good match for my 2021 Sienna FWD? Thanks!
Guys are funny. But don't use Fram Oil filters as they are rated the worst in every comparison I have ever seen in RUclips and online reviews.
Thank you for the input! will keep that in mind next time... We've always used OEM or QS but got this Fram when we did the video.
Nice One! Sama naman ako next time! 😊
yun oh!
Bro Pwede ba sumali sa grupo nyo mag offroad?
Good times!
Yes it was!
Doesn’t show anything about the oil filter lol
Can't fit the camera in the engine bay but posted a pic of where it is in the video.
at the @2:54 mark
What if I messed up the wire part that connects to that? How do I order that, like what would I call those wires? Been trying to google it but haven't found
Good question! I don't know myself, but what I believe is that its a direct connection from the sending unit to your tachometer so maybe sending unit wire?
you will have to make one yourself.
Here's a video detailing why you should choose the Firestone Destination AT2 tires. ruclips.net/video/fHlqrMVevkQ/видео.htmlsi=LRV5HNbaV7IpnujY
Are they good brakes?
Hi Jose, they're good for what they have advertised which is OEM+ brakes and very minimal dusting... NOT as good as my Hawk Pads tho...
easy way talaga yan?😅
Oo daw ser eh, at least that's what I have heard. Check out videos sa hard way its pretty intense.
Did you film the way back out?
unfortunately i didn't, but we basically went the same way when we were coming down.
FSR starts at around the @4:50 timestamp
Ahh uc😂
you see, very brave Rav4!!!

Thanks for the time stamps! Filter is in a horrible location fr lol
The honda civic 8th gen si locations are really bad too. Gotta take wheel off, all type of shit. Just search it on google of the diagram of where it is youll start laughing lol 😂
Drove the Heckman several times towing a 30’ boat video doesn’t do it justice!
wow must be an insane driving experience eh?!?
I like how you put cardboard in between tires while resting in storage
thank you! yes I have always done it that way to avoid scratches haha! cool you noticed!
great video by a very humble person
I have seen many videos and I have heard even more stories about this road, however, I had no reason to drive to Bella Coola since it is a dead end road. Anyway, about one and a half years ago, I was asked to deliver a pick-up truck to Bella Coola in the middle of winter. I am still wondering why people make such a big deal about this road. Yes, it is steep, yes it has switchbacks and yes it is gravel. No reason for taking pictures or videos that really don't show anything. It's all click-bait!!!!
I agree, other than the viewpoint in the beginning or at the bottom of the hill, there's really no point in stopping for pics or vids, but a bucket list destination for me nonetheless.
Technically, Highway 20 does not dead-end in Bella Coola, because there is BC Ferries service from there to Port Hardy.
I have 2004 tahoe rwd in las vegas nv not sure if i should get these or the firestone le3
Those are amazing too I heard! they do ok offroad but of course, not as good as these AT2's. I think I would have gone for the LE3's since they're better on road/highway (and is designed for that) driving had I not found these AT2's for a good price on Craigslist lol!
Thanks for this video and commentary it was informative for a trip there I have coming in beginning of Sept. We have about 10 motorcycles coming this way and this gives us a good idea what to expect.
Thank you for viewing! After Anahim Lake, the road becomes gravel all the way down after the Hill. I also have another video regarding the gas stops along Hwy 20 so you won't get stranded especially since you guys will be travelling via motor bikes! also watch out for sudden weather changes! it was sunny and warm when I drove down. Foggy and rainy when I drove back up. Safe travels!
Hello fellow traveler! How was you trip back in September? hope it went well and you guys had an amazing time!
@@alecdelacrooozit was great with one exception. The road in and out of Bella Coola was closed due to fires. So we ended up going further north to Prince Rupert and catching the ferry from there. Will be trying again in 2024. Thanks for asking.
@@sledgehammer7516 oh no! that's unfortunate! but still, it looks like you guys had an amazing trip!

What is good for slick boat ramps and heavy boats?
I have no idea when it comes to slippy ramps and heavy boats, but if you're towing, you'd probably wanna go for the Destination XT... I believe its the more hardcore counterpart of the AT. Hope this helps
@@alecdelacroooz Thanks for the info! I will check them out.
Thanks boys, very helpful
Welcome! glad the video was helpful
Destination XT is what I recommend
The XT's are also pretty amazing tires I've heard!
I have the X/T on my RAM. I might get these for my Charokee Trailhawk. It currently has the A/T but not A/T 2 pretty much same tire but improved.
I am about to put these on my rav4, had to do my research on a few brands.
They're amazing tires! super quiet yet capable on gravel roads hope my video helped! had the yokohama geolandar AT's before and they're about the same noise level but Yoko's are more expensive I think?
