George Best 1973/74. Let’s be honest, it was always going to end badly, regardless of who was in charge. 12 games and 2 goals later and he was gone. But do you know what? It’s still Georgie Best!

George Best. I know you’ve all seen the goal George scored in America for San Jose Earthquakes vs Fort Lauderdale Strikers. He also scored a last minute equaliser and set up the winner in extra time.

    Stylewize he was the father of Zico, the Granpa of Messi and Cryuff was a distant cousin: PD: I like him a lot, but when people talks about him as "much better" than other current or more modern players that many times are silly named GOATS. They should realize that even prior to his prime there was a certain Di Stefano, Pele around and in his time a certain Cryuff. In many ways Best is in terms of carreer and talent closer to monster players like Sivori was, both mavericks, phenoms BTW.

    Thankfully players get better protection these days increasing our enjoyment of the more skillful passages of play. Also careers aren't cynically cut short as often nowadays. George really was a class apart. George Best RIP.

    • @paulbuckle2081
      @paulbuckle2081 16 дней назад

      The pushing and cheating in football nowadays has absolutely ruined the game. It's easy for people making these videos to pick out 7 or 8 fouls from several games. I used to go to lots of professional games in England and sometimes there would only be 5 or 6 fouls the whole game, now its constant foul and cheat, generally 30 fouls per game. Skilful players are cut down immediately they get the ball, at least in George Bests time there were a lot of individually talented players and they were not scythes down immediately. Supporters used to go to matches to be entertained not just see their team win. Now many go to football and if their team wins 1.0 in a very boring game they are happy, what's happened to the entertainment? Football nowadays is rubbish Run Run Cheat Cheat that's all it is. HA HA WHAT A GREST RANT😅
