Dymchurch is a village and civil parish situated in the Folkestone and Hythe district of Kent, England. Positioned on the coast, it lies five miles (8 km) southwest of Hythe, within the Romney Marsh.

In 1575, New Hall was reconstructed after a fire destroyed the original wooden structure. It served as a courtroom for the Romney Marsh area, with the head magistrate known as the Leveller of the Marsh Scotts.
