Post 1.3.1 patch, one lap, Boss (R). Nightmare AI, No Assists, No HUD. This would've been "Cloud Chaos 2", but the tricks in this one are so absurdly difficult that I just couldn't get it done in time. What kind of track visualization is this? I have xbox series x, how can I do to display the tracks this way? thanks
@PaoloC.028 this was done in post with DaVinci Resolve video editing software. The effect used is called "edge detect" or "edge locator", something like that.

Ive played WipeOut for years, but i never expected RedOut to be so...epic!!! I mean in both games experts just make me jawdrop but RedOut 2 feels like breath of fresh air. Thanks for reinforcing my interest within getting the game!!!

Clean racing and god I forgot how hard this soundtrack slaps.
K-werth in Redout 1 > K-werth in Redout 2. Hard to beat the unique look of an offcenter cockpit and the folding lateral shields that come up when you're accelerating.

Thanks for a doing a beautiful no HUD race in Redout 1! I'd love to see you do all boss tracks from this game, at least. After that, maybe even stuff like Survival, Speed etc. if you feel like it. Excellent driving yet again!

Is there no cockpit view in this game like in Redout 1? Btw, can you please make videos about you racing in non-VR Redout 1? I love how you drive and love the track aesthetic (and soundtrack) of the first game, especially the DLC tracks! In any case, thanks for your Redout 2 videos. I absolutely love them.
@@ucb16 there is no cockpit view in Redout 2 unfortunately. If you're able to use UEVR you can put the camera inside the ship, but it's still not the same. I'm happy you like the Redout 1 videos; I don't have a video on every track yet, so I'll get back on it.
@@DeathMetalSeth Thank you. I'd have watched more of your Redout 1 videos if they weren't VR. That's why I'm asking you to do those (only if you wouldn't mind!). Btw, again, the way you fly in Redout 2 is unlike anything I've seen. The way you do 360 degree twists and turns in the air is incredibly cool to watch!

I can’t stand that they got rid of the cockpit view, and you can’t use the bumper cam because it looks way too skyward for aerials. The grind for parts is ridiculous too and the camera rewind mechanism is awful. The other cars and the clock keep going while you fiddle around instead of resetting on track.

I'll have you know I manage to get 16th place+ world wide on several tracks with Behemoth. Is a good ship. I think its just my technique that needs help.

Was curious if this touched on the Steam Input for square deadzones. In my experience, the game defaults to circle deadzones, leaving the strafe and pitch inputs halved when the right stick is pressed diagonally. VS a keyboard that has full input range. To address this on Steam: 1. Right click on your game in your steam library. 2. Navigate to: Manage -> Controller layout 3. Select your desired controller (Enable Steam Input if it isn't already enabled) 4. Press "Edit Layout" and navigate to the joysticks tab 5. Press the gear icon next to the Joystick dropdown menu [Right Joystick] 6. Under the Deadzone section. Set the "Deadzone type" to "Custom" 7. An option for "Deadzone shape" should appear. Change it to square. You're controller should now have full input range for strafe and pitch, and in-game ships should feel more responsive.
I haven't personally noticed this, I play this game without STEAM input, it feels the same for me on PC as playing on console.. which is good 👍. Thanks for sharing this tip though, that's a weird phenomenon that has probably messed some people up.

The more I watch other people play this game, the more I realize how much I suck at it. Beating nightmare AI feels like it's just the tutorial now lol.

Really wondering why Redout isn't more successful. I'm still having so much fun with the first game that i didn't feel the need to buy 2 and every time i play it at LAN Parties people come up asking what this cool looking game is.
Maybe marketing? I didn't even know about the first one until I bought the second game, like 1-2 years ago. I do know though that I've needed a game like this for a long time, and I'm so glad that this exists! Redout 2 is way better than my childhood memories.
@@DeathMetalSeth marketing for sure, as far as im aware only like 2 tralers were really made for its release and they teamed with Tmartn and some other racing game guy for sponsorship, basically a wasted amount of money
