No Worries glad it was useful. I think some scenarios have changes with recent updates, such as your ship transferring to a detention centre if dying on foot when wanted to save the extra taxi ride, but i'll have to check it out and maybe do a 2022 version... but lets see what update 13 brings...

Try dismissing your ship using the menu wheel, move away from the area & then recall your ship. Otherwise out of game you could log in to horizons & you will be put in space in your ship & then log off & back to odyssey…

Agreed, and I had a quick look into that on this vid: ruclips.net/video/YChrZYoViQU/видео.html Although I’ve not gone back to the exact location to see if the srv is still there. I assume despawn once back in the ship. I also assume that the srv might stay alive if playing in multiplayer & there is another Cmdr keeping the instance alive…

@@thatwilldopig I submitted a support ticket on the matter and the response was that the SRV is 'destroyed' the moment you die on foot.

Haha yeah, seen a few vids on mines. I like the higher skill needed, even if they are still OP for this kind of thing! Now I wonder if shock mines would send NPCs flying?!

Agreed. The ship should act like a bank, in the same way as backpack items.

@@gabrielsoyka yes. To me it makes more sense to be able to use the ship to store the data, much like backpack items. I also understand the devs have made odyssey in such a away that ship ownership is optional, but then apex taxis still work as an item bank. It’s just curious design…

This is a good question. I assume like backpack items it is lost, and there’s a section in the rebuy screen for exp data that’s been lost. I’ll scan some plants to confirm & comment when I’ve done so.

Agreed. I would conclude that although flak looks better, dumb fires are very effective, cheap, & available to all with zero grind.

I’m not sure, although I don’t believe it is graphics power that is slowing things down as plenty of people with 3080s are reporting FPS problems on the forums and Reddit...

I’m enjoying it, but as of today’s date it’s not worth buying the Alpha as it ends shortly. Fdev have announced the release date as 19th may. If you are not into preorders then wait for the reviews and make an informed decision. I hope they optimise it as my frames tank in certain circumstances.

KessilRun Genuinely not sure. Could have been a glitch from a long time ago. I’ve got a feeling it was a carryover from one of the early betas. The recent carrier glitch and purchasing of system data suggests there isn’t a base in Polaris...I even shared the bookmark with a squadron & they could see it as a ground base. Strange stuff.

@@thatwilldopig You can still purchase system data but you have to do it really fast and spam the buy button while it tries to contact the servers. Lol. I bought a couple in Regor Sector. Just couldn't sling LFT 509. I still have the Polaris data too. I did acquire the trade data for LFT by accident, in trying to do so.

Evan Robertson rocks and poor driving are more of a concern than the corrosive damage. Easily fixed by boarding the ship and deploy again: Instant repair. Keep an eye on your fuel as that doesnt fill. I managed to load 128 in the conda on 1 tank...
