    Fantastic insight!! I’ve been wracking my brain trying to understand how her debilitating guilt at the end is not out of character for her. This definitely provides an explanation for that extreme reversal.

    This is great. Could you argue that Macbeth's anagnorisis is during his "Tomorrow" speech when he realises he is nothing but a 'poor player' whose actions have amounted to nothing? Or does it have to be the realisation he was tricked by the witches?

    Wow thank you so much for making such an amazing video, I want to write an essay about how Macbeth is a tragic hero but there are so many imperfect facts when it comes down to it, I am extremely struggling which side to choose yet I feel he is more like a tragic hero than just evil or a villain if you would, but thanks a lot this really made me think about what I should write about.

    Thanks for this. Long story short my English teacher assigned me, multiple essays to write. Literally back to back. She gave me 2 fucking days to read the damn Book. Now she rushing me to write an essay on why Macbeth is a tragic hero. This lady needs to slow the fuck down. She need to realize that her class is not the only class i fucking have. Im so damn pissed and vexed by this type of behavior.

    Pip was always keenly aware of the shortcomings in Estella's character but chose to overlook them.

  • @selecter99
    @selecter99 6 лет назад

    I disagree with your argument against the conventional 'Happy Ending". I believe the description of Estella having 'softened" or changed in the years between when Pip spoke to her last warrants a bit more hope for the reader about a potential relationship between the two. I really enjoy your take. Going to have to re-read. Cheers!
