This is a video from my car in the second Red sprint group at Road America in 2020. Leading the pack (and checking out soon) is Leh Keen in a 991.2 GT3R. Ryan Gates is second in a 991 GT2RS Club Sport. Then Bob Mueller, Pierce Marshall, myself, and Les Long (who passes me later in the video) in 991.1 GT3Rs. This is about as fast as it gets in amateur PCA racing!

Started about P42 after not qualifying due to rain... ended up P1 in class / P2 overall in a very close (.2 second!) finish!

Hey Chris, you commented on this video ruclips.net/video/wL-1D_a3mgM/видео.html -- I'm new to track days and would love to hear your comments on this persons issue at CMP. I didn't want to post on his page and beat him up, but I'd love to learn what you think. As a layperson with only a few track days my thoughts are turning in to late, not enough trail breaking and bad tires. But I don't know what I don't know. lol -- Any insights would be helpful. Thanks brother!

Not attempting to criticize here, but was something wrong with the setup, tires, or something else? It seemed you lacked the confidence to really make an attempt to battle the cars you're racing with, and you definitely had the pace to be in the thick of it and I think get by the 67 car. You were pretty great with traffic management and I think that could have let you build a gap if you had managed to get by. Hindsight is 2020 and I'm backseat driving here so feel free to shoot me down. Just a genuine inquiry and not an attack. Regardless, love the videos and keep racing, it's awesome to watch!

Agreed. I lifted because there was a gt2RS barreling down the inside and I wasn't sure if he was going to leave room for 3 people so I chose caution!
@@chrisbrown2697 yeah I mean Im not an expert im a sim racer im just noticing some mistakes you did but other than that awesome race man wish i could drive a real race car one day
In sim racing you can be much more aggressive in corners which is not that realistic compared to real world it seems

Great race! I'm curious, why do you pull over instead of drive back to the pits at the end?
There was a red flag displayed which means a serious accident has occurred which requires the use of an ambulance and other equipment. So for the safety of everyone when a red flag is displayed you must pull over as soon as you can and wait for the corner worker to release you, usually under a yellow and/or black flag.
