Boat Trips: You can't beat a good boat trip! (I always go on one - whether we're staying in a town/city with a river, or by the seaside.) 0:46-0:57: Alpacas or llamas? (I always confuse the two, but I'm gonna guess... alpacas?) 1:25-1:30: Sound advice! "The Beach Mile": I'd like to do that walk... RNLI: I very much admire all those brave volunteers! ... Back to the opening commentary! You haven't had a whole lot of luck with the weather in recent videos, have you?! ☹ 1) House... I know they have to protect items from the Sun: you've taught me that. Still... some of the interior looks very dark, doesn't it? (It brightens up later on, though.) A few, more specific, thoughts... The Billiard Room: That's a bit brighter! (And plenty of seating for a two-a-side match!) The Drawing Room: What a splendid chandelier! 3:41-4:12 - Commentary: Ah - I see you agree with me that some of the interior looked a bit dark. 2) Garden... Let's see... "The Target Range": Oh, no!!! Are you sure it's safe to sit there, Dawn??! "The Fern Dell": From a quarry, eh? Back to nature, then... Excellent! (A fantastic example of what can be achieved with the right kind of will, in my opinion.) "The Pets' Cemetery": Good to see... even thought it brought back some very sad memories for me... 😿😿😿 "The Formal Flower Garden": Wow - what vibrant colours; clever layout, too! Anyway, I thought it was magnificent - so glad to hear you're in agreement! You two are really growing in confidence, aren't you? (The most commentary I've heard so far...)

For some reason, my first comment "... failed to post." (No idea why!) Okay, I'll try again... This is another departure for you: no background music; just the odd, off-camera word. (Essentially, the crowd and the camera tell the story.) The usual features at such a show are present, of course: horticultural contests; food straight from the farm; animals; agricultural machinery; rides for the kids... But some unexpected items, too: classic bikes; bicycle races; model railway layouts; even a talk about the Old West! A few "standouts":- 3:32-3:40: Tempted, Dawn...? 5:14-5:16: Anything for Bernie...? 6:30: Only a fool would use that! 8:14-8:16: "Crocks" - exactly my sense of humour!

We have never been. We did plan a group trip a few years ago before Robert retired but was cancelled due to Covid. The sculptures did look really interesting especially with the garden as a backdrop. I shall have to try and remember this for 2026! Best wishes Robert & Ivor.

No better way to spend a rainy day then exploring this late 1600’s amazing property and all its splendour! You can really appreciate why tv & film use these, they make such amazing sets and the fact they can help preserve them and make them more accessible to Joe Public is just incredible! 👍 90 we was really looking forward to this, apologies for our tardiness but we are back from out 🇮🇹 trip and catching up with RUclips! This is fabulous and did not disappoint! We have only ever seen Lincoln at the big steampunk festival so was really lovely seeing it on a none event day! Can’t believe the castle is free! This was really great guys we thoroughly enjoyed it! General thought: You're keeping the natural sounds (gulls, people, surf...) alongside the music - I like that! "Salad Bowl Café": Not a "greasy spoon", then?! 1:03-1:07: Pictures tiled into an outside wall: what an interesting idea! "Wash Monster": I've always wanted to travel in its antithesis, I suppose: an aquatic car; something that is primarily for land, but that can also take to the water - think of all the possibilities that would open up for greater exploration! (2:30-2:42: But I love how the "Monster" can open its "jaws"!) Fair: I love fairs! Do you have a favourite fairground attraction? (I like the "Dodgems"!) 5:44-5:49: Oh - and I'd thought that that "book seat" shown in a previous video was unique...! (Not sure whether to be pleased or disappointed...!) 5:59-6:01: The tree looks a bit incongruous - but I like it! I definitely agree with you about Hunstanton: so much to see and do there!

Judging from this - and your previous video, "Chatsworth House: The Gardens" - your approach has changed (albeit, slightly); now, you deliver a short, verbal introduction before moving into the main section of visuals with the usual musical accompaniment. (And you "bookended" it, in fact: by giving us that "farewell" at the end.) I wonder, naturally, about your thinking behind this change - and, also, if it will be a permanent one (as opposed to just a season)... ... But how do I feel? Well, I like it! It's pleasant to hear your voices at the top; sort of welcoming, in fact. And now, here are a few general thoughts about your visit to Normanby Hall and Country Park:- Bearing in mind your write-up, we'll be witnessing some changes - including, in fashion. Should be interesting... I like how the door opens up at the start: it draws you into the beautiful gardens.... 0:55-1:00: I like the peacock! (Were you able to feed him, too?) 1:12-1:17: Oh - sorry about the rain, again! (Two-in-a-row...) Some interesting items of fashion on display; I also liked the large card table in the Library and the beautifully set-out table in the Dining Room... Interesting to see the auxiliary hospital set-up; hopefully, though, it will never be needed for similar purposes again! 3:24-3:31: Impressive "Satchwell" exhibition! 5:03+... Good to see you were able to go out again, once the rain had cleared; lovely fields, trees and water. (Unfortunate that the rain saw fit to return!)

Nice tour. Can I just point out though, that the bridge isn't Trent Bridge, that's in Nottingham at West Bridgford, around 18 miles further along the river. The bridge in Newark, is a bridge over the river Trent, but not Trent Bridge. Lived in and around Newark for 40+ years

It is truly captivating to observe these ancient artifacts as though they are brand new. Excellent sharing❤

Sorry the rain forced you to shorten your visit; still, it was nice to hear you talking, Dave! It was good to see you both doing some of the walks that I've done. (Interesting, also, to see how you react to things that I've reacted to; it adds a different dimension, I think...) Yes, water is certainly an important feature at Chatsworth; I just didn't want it to take centre-stage for you, though! But one positive experience I have is doing open-water swimming there: great fun! (Have you two ever given that sort of thing a go?) I must admit, I felt a little nervous watching you negotiate those rocks at 3:05-3:10, Dawn: they look a little precarious, wouldn't you say?! Finally, I've always felt the horse and water at the end go well together - although he does seem to ignore it!
