Why does it seem every time you are on a group ride it is always to a restaurant? Nowadays restaurants are understaffed and very pricey. Of course hanging out with friends over a good meal is fun, but you can save the money for gas and have a few more hours of riding time by packing a lunch. Nothing says the whole group can't also pack a lunch and hang out at some pavilion. Many small towns and...
Install Foot Peg Extensions on 2022 CB500X
Просмотров 785Год назад
Instead of paying big bucks for bigger foot pegs on your Honda CB500X, just install these foot pegs extensions. There are a bunch to choose from on Ebay, TEMU, Amazon, etc. Pretty sure they made by whoever in China. The prices are from about $10 on up, but I'm sure anyone will do. Very simple install, anyone can do with basic tools. Reuse the stock 8mm bolts that come off the stock setup.

@ 1:18,, 50, 60, 100 a day?? Who does that,, Not a normal person.. I would be hard pressed to spend 50 if I tried.. I can eat for less than 8 bucks a day with no real equipment. @ 2:25,, I have an inverter I can run off the Harley if it is running..
Thanks for your videos dear I’m watching you from oman 🇴🇲 can i have your instagram account?
If you were to take this XR150 to higher elevation, 4,000-6500 ft, for 1-3 days and ride it around would you leave the carburetor alone, or would you ride with it choked slightly to compensate for the thinner air at the higher altitude?
hey sir, great video! im a newbie, and i've just bought my 150L back in july '23. I forgot about the choke, and made like 1000 kilometers with the choke on.. (upper position), now my bike cough and dies in 5th gear (high revs) and starts to die... I checked the spark, and its all carbonized. I bought a new one, but a friend of mine told me to just keep using my previous spark, without the choke, and it will clean eventually. * i have to say aditionally, now the bike wont start with the choke on.
Greetings, Great video 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Did you have to adjust the chain? Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos about the CB 500x.
If memory serves me, it was a bit tight. Always keep the chain with the required slack.
I've been saving my money & this is the only bike that I'll be able to buy outright/new & without having a loan. I guess one thing I worry about is the clutch on this bike, it's not very heavy although it holds up to moderate commutes. I know of several folks who've had to open up the lower end(crack the case) to pull out the clutchpack to examine & replace worn ones. Nice video
Used Streets are going for peanuts now. They’re great for beginners and those who want a second bike around. My dad had a V-Rod. It was miserable to ride.
I’m glad I found this video. I’m in Ohio, I have a ‘23, BMW R9T Scrambler, and I’ve been considering these tires. I really liked the Metzler Tourance tires that were on my Triumph Street Scrambler, but as far as I know, they don’t make them in the proper sizes for my BMW.
Nice!
I've got the same year granite on granite 933 paint code even the seat is Silver. When I feel the need for speed and to lure a Harley into a drag race etc..... totally viable choice. It's not just for retro-grouch oldsters. .
retiring to raw land in spring. going with this, an '86 4^4 chevy manual, and a donkey named clyde. eff fuel injection/carbs rule. the emp is just a matter of time...
Thank you for sharing your knowledge ! Also 996 , 997 and 998 coming your way . Merry Christmas !!
Each to his/her own, but a 500X for a 4' 11" rider is a huge challenge. I'm 5' 8" with a 29" inseam. In my first year of ownership (2023 500X), I dropped the bike too many times when at slow speed coming to a stop on uneven ground; mostly on the right side. With the position of the foot pegs, I just couldn't seem to get my foot down on the ground to prevent the lean and fall. I finally decided to lower the suspension and bought a kit with a 1.5" drop which also came with a shorter kickstand. I still can't flatfoot it, but it's a hell of a lot better and has almost eliminated dropping. I took to a local bike mechanic to assist with the job, and he said that it wouldn't be necessary to lower the front suspension. I rode the bike up until I had to put it up for the season and found no issues with leaving the front forks unchanged from factory setting. What issues/problems would you have predicted I would encounter? BTW, I had a touch of buyer's remorse after I sat on a 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator. I know it's a different style, but talk about feel good to a person with shorter legs. Solid flatfoot and low center of gravity. I didn't end up buying as I had invested too much $ in accessories for the 500X to trade it in, but probably would have if the suspension lowering hadn't all but eliminated the problem.
Is the lean angle really as bad as I hear it is
Thank you for making this video. Got mine today and its my first bike, these tips were very helpful!
Thanks for your video ! it was very helpful in my decision to purchase a set for my 2016 Africa Twin After assembling the rear wheel set up, there is a gap of approximately 1/8" between the new cush drive and the outer rim of the new rear hub. Is that how yours looks ? The gap looks odd to me. I cannot tell on the view of your rear wheel since the camera is at and angle. Looking at the rear wheel from the rear (perpendicular to the axle) the gap I am describing is visible. I'm real curious to know how yours appears. (gap or no gap ?) For comparison there is no gap between the two OEM components.
this really helped!
you da man!
There's a video on RUclips where the guy puts o-rings into several test tubes of different solvents overnight and then compares to originals. Kerosene had absolutely no effect on the o-ring whatsoever. Also, many present day motorcycle manufacturers shop manuals call for o/x ring chain cleaning using kerosene. Gasolene no. Kerosene yes.
Are these the one being sold on Alibaba?
Can you fit a Textile or leather jacket in there that is padded with extra room In bags?
how do you tighten spokes?
I have one of these since 2007. I purchase it from the orig owner and it was still under warranty with10K miles on it. It now has 49K miles on it and I have had very little issues with exception of a leaky fork seals, rear ESA shock got stuck, ambient temp gauge stopped working and wind screen motor took a shit. My main concern now is the power brake wizzy pump, which is still working fine but there is no longer a replacement part available. So if I was going to buy a used RT I would look for a newer model 07-13 or newer that does not have the power brake thing and the newer bikes shift much better. I have a 2013 GSA and it shifts smooth like a Japanese bike.
great tips
I just bought my first Harley Davidson @ 65. I got a 2012 Heritage Classic, 16000 miles. Tequila Sunrise & HD Orange. Love it.
Great video, thanks
Great tips thank you , I have one of these bikes , a lot of fun everyone can ride it , those don’t look like the stock foot pegs, what manufacturer are those on the bike ? And where did you purchase them thank you for your help.
Hello, finally if you asking today,it’s good or not ?
Would you recommend these on a harley
WARNING!!! DONT LISTEN TO THIS GUY! I ve been using kerosene to my DID chain for 55.000 klm and i have only tightened it once, It is still like new and seems ready to reach 100.000 klm. Even the manual suggests kerosene. Oh the Japanese dont know.
DID does not recommend kerosene anymore
@@indigo196799 I recommend then kerosene for DID after 60.000 klm being still like new.Maybe DID found new sponsors of chain lubes haha.
@@christosx13 I agree with you. I have been using kerosene with great results for decades with all my chains. The best I did was 45,000 km on my nc750x. With what bike and what type of riding did you do 60,000 km?
@indigo196799 DL VStrom 650 K8 Usually riding in country roads from 70-150 klm/h. The chain is DID ZVMX 525 GG x-ring and i think its the strongest chain(after 530). The secret of course is not kerosene alone but the valvoline i use for lubing every 400 klm a 90w and 120w depending the weather the cheapest for 5 euros and is always clean. Cleaning with Kerosene not very often once every 3000 klm and then soap water to remove it. The valvoline almost never gets dirty.
🤘
Gear oil …no crusty build up
Always seems to be contradictory advice on anything bike lol 😂. Some say don't use detergents.
Ktm vid tells you to clean it with diesel and oil mix.
HD Laidlaw did a review of top 10 Softails & Heritage was #1 😎👍
Can you send me the link where you got the turn signals?
Do u still got it
Thanks for the review, agree with the Harley vs Indian, like my oils separate as well.
I’ve been watching videos on the XR150L for two days in preparation of buying one. This was by far the most useful video I’ve run across. Thanks!! 👍
Go for it! Cheap and so much fun. It’s great to run to the store or just to relieve stress.
Just got mine today!
Hey thanks. Trying yo rtemove my air box hosrs off the carb intakes.
Picking up one just like yours in Australia on Fri Same colour We have some long roads over here so it should do the job well.
I bought a 2016 heritage with 9k miles on. Paid 11k for it in private sale. Way better than 26k for a new one !! Anyhow…it’s been great so far. Very comfortable bike mostly due to how you sit down into the frame more. I was more comfy on the heritage than a road king
My ford truck takes the same led lights as my Harley it’s great!
Can you put the link in the discription and send it to me, so i can buy it. Thanks.
While Honda’s hand guards look nice they are pretty flimsy for the money. I bought the JFG Hand guards from Amazon. Give good protection and are structurally sound with two points of contact to the handle bars protecting levers and your hands. Well made and worth the money at $35.
Thank for the suggestion!
A quick clean with diesel, kerosene, jet fuel. Wipe dry/low pressure air dry. They lube with gear oil. Works great.
Thank you!
Help...just bought this bike. Only 200 miles. No first service yet. Problem, starts, idles fine but at 40 mph and it starts coughing and dying. I let go of throttle and it doesn't die and idles normal. Any help or suggestion greatly appreciated. Thanks
Every light on my Heritage is an LED
very good, thx
