Create a cover holder for the rear door at a Ford Kuga (Escape) using 3D printer
The original holder of the cover inside the rear upper hatch of the Ford Kuga (Escape) Mk 1 is quite weak. When closing the rear hatch it can easily break. In this project I designed a much stronger holder with similar functionality and same appearance.

Can I run Vegetable Oil in my Ford Kuga?
Просмотров 6734 года назад
Old diesel cars could run on vegetable oil such as sunflower seed oil. Modern cars with different injection systems cannot. However there is an alternative spelled HVO- Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil. fossil free and compared to Diesel more environmentally friendly. I have used it for about 18 mounth now and it works quite well. However, please discuss with an car expert if your particular car can ...

    Why take all the Throttle Box off? Just buy the correct angled spanner and do the job in a fraction of the time....

    Thank you so much for your effort to make this video, as you clearly said in the beginning there is not really any guidance on how to replace the oil filter. I must congratulate you on a job well done and also your RUclips skills, really informative and good. Only sad thing is, you have proof to me that I must rather pay someone more experianced than I am to do the service, as I dont have all the right tools and is worried that I will damage something seeing that there is so many parts to remove and put back. Why in the world did they put the oil filter there??!! On all my previous cars that I owned I always did it my self, as I always do an engine flush with diesel before I put the new filter in and replace the oil, but with all this parts, I do not think that will be possible. So once again many thanks for your help and perfect step by step video, Sometimes I believe in rather get the right person for the job as things clearly got a bit more complicated than on older cars. Once again, many thanks, and was also impressed that you showed how to reset the oil change alarm, I was under the impression you would need too do it via the computer with special cable connection and software. So yes you where a real help. Be Blessed and may you and all your viewers have a Blessed 2024.

    That French engineer is a mukak and antichrist ! It looks like that Frenchman was educated with special needs, their engines are rat cock. Inaccessible basic parts that need to be replaced. Full of fragile plastic and no electronics! Like other French engineers, their cars look like garbage cans!

    My diagnostic obd2 port has stopped working on my kuga 2009 is there a fuse for the obd2 port and where is it located any help please

    • @mykuga2025
      @mykuga2025 11 месяцев назад

      Hi Mark, there is no fuse to the OBD connector itself as it connects to the EEC computer in your car. This in turn has a fuse located in the central fuse box. Does the car run at all?

    I just used a shortened 27mm spanner to remove the oilfilter housing. There is no need to disassemble that whole section of the engine to get to it.... It's a tight squeeze to get the filter out, yes, but really no biggie... 😊

    • @mykuga2025
      @mykuga2025 Год назад

      Actually I would not do this: Dirt can fall from the top into the filter housing: This can in worst case destroy your turbocharger bearings. Also, you get all the oil spilling downward in the engine compartment...

    Thank you for explaining about the 8mm flats behind the control arm to hold the ball-joint from turning!! My wife's car has the 'Headlight Malfunction' error but there is no more information given. Is there a way that I can tell whether it is the levelling system or sensor that is not working? I notice that when we start the car the lights do a left-right calibration but they do not go up and down at all. Could this indicate a fault with levelling? Many thanks.

    • @mykuga2025
      @mykuga2025 Год назад

      Well this is difficult to say. Those error warnings in the Ford system are unspecific. A workshop would change parts until it works. However, it is resonable guess that the levelling sensors are at fault. They are all the time in dust, dirt and spray. In the best case you can solve the problem by just cleaning the contacts.

    I have a different problem. The xenons dont calibrate up and down when I turn on the ignition. I have checked that the lever both in the rear and front is not broken. So if its not the sensors, could both of the xenon actuator motor be bad..? If its not the motors it must be something in the ECU that needs recalibration..

      It it is both lights simjultaniously, it is probably the steering box. If it is just one light, you can try to loosen the hight control screw on top of the unit

    Hello ! Can you, please, tell me if the oil can be drain ONLY by using a oil pump ?

    • @mykuga2025
      @mykuga2025 Год назад

      You can also drain it using a plug under the engine. For this you have to remove several covers and lift the car horizontally... I use the pump because it is in expensive and you don't make your hands dirty...

    Hi. Looking for advice, I keep getting engine malfunction for "oil deteriorated" although I've recently had an oil change and done reset using pedals. Any ideas??

    • @mykuga2025

      Change the oil and filter and then reset the warning as shown in the video. If it gets back you need to check the sensor

    Remeove the clamp on the intake rubberhose and slip off the hose, then you get just enough clearance to change the filter

    • @mykuga2025
      @mykuga2025 Год назад

      Right... but make sure that no dirt gets into the filter housing. This would kill your turbo charger.... Would not recommend doing it "blind" behind the hoses...

    Thank you very much for your kindness for sharing this tutorial. I have to do the same thing on a 2012 Ford C-Max 2.0 tdci and I will follow your steps. I once saw a mechanic replacing the filter but until I saw your video, I didn´t remember all the steps. Now I know what to do without the always hard try and error process... :-) Thank's again.

      Hi Xavier! It's interesting to hear that the same thing applies to your C-Max as well. I did not know that it was the same engine. But as I understand does Ford use PSA Diesels... Did my tutorial work for the C-Max in the same way?
