holy crap, I had no idea you had a youtube channel
@@ScottsSpeedShop Yeah man, It's nothing crazy I'll make a video every now and then lol
@moparnick I remember saying the same stuff at one time lol
Hi Christina, so what you got show me
How do you like the cam I just purchased the same one for my 388
Hey man I’m trying to build the 318 in my d250 what’s all done to it?
@@Aidan-uf9bc Stock short block 318, big cam, milled and ported 1.88 valve 318 heads. That's it. Simple backyard junk lol.
@@moparnick thanks man and it sounds sick
Hi Nick. I was curious about an older 318 video of yours. Can I pick your brain for a few?
Need
Sounds good for a 318
Christine lives!!!
0:03
Sounds good. Ditch that 7 1/4 for an 8 3/4.
@@christopher5585 It got one later on
4:08 wtf is that piece of shit job? You an absolutely amateur clown and made a full of crap job🤦
Buddy you need to learn decent welding first, that welding seams make me sick💩🤮
Thats a big 10-4
What was idle and timing set at?
I would rebuild the 1958 Plymouth Beldevere with customized reinforcement to the cabin, floor, doors, pillars, panels and roof. Then substitute the straight steering column with a Mopar compatible safety steering system. Add disc power brakes, seat belts and air bags (all Mopar).. The result will be an all Mopar safety equipped classic with higher value and durability.
Junkyard finds and expensive restorations show that Plymouth Beldevere and Fury were well appreciated classic cars on their prime. Movie from novel Christine made the 1958 Beldevere a most wanted classic to restore.
Ok
Did you actually weld new steel?
Yes

Where’s Johnny ?

What pistons do you have
Stock flat tops, 0 deck
I'm a GM guy, but I'm definitely able to appreciate that.
Awesome duster dude
Nice!
Great Vid
Sick car love it time to eat Chevys .
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! It shivered down my spine because this car looks sooo much like Christine! Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.
Is it a savoy or fury or a belvedere?
Born a 58 Savoy, Someone tried to do a Belvedere/Fury/Christine Clone at one point.
Hmm...open headers, no exhaust will make any motor sound nasty. A 318 isn't badass. I had one in a '68 Monaco. Good little motor but not badass. Gimme a 340 or even a 360 if we're talking small blocks.
Actually you're wrong, stock 318 with no exhaust will sound like shit. This is not a stock 318. This has a lot of compression and a lot of cam far from stock.
If you crush that car you are a disgrace to society
Nonsense, Its currently being restored by a buddy of mine in New York
MOPAR OR NO CAR💓💓💓!!!!!
Nice, u need at least 16" header collector extension. adding it could give u up to a tenth .10 second
Thanks, It has a pair now
Christine!

Nice
My only request is you show us the inside too. I like how you've kept so many things retro. I personally would like to have seen the inside too to see what you've done there. But great car and video!!
Interior is complete bone stock original 71 Duster interior with the addition of an 8 point cage, additional gauges, and shifter.
I walked into my buddy shop one day and I said Pete what's the best engine ever built and he said a 318. the man's worked on Mercedes and everything else Under the Sun for over 60 years Pete loved Fords and Mercedes Pete was a mechanic mechanic he is gone now
How is the torque on this cam? also what springs are you running? I have the Pro Comp/speedmaster aluminum heads with dual valve springs. Sweet sounding car
Definitely stickier when you go over same Tracs
Love the car man. Building a 70 also!
Wicked! So are you gonna race it?
That's the plan!
that Duster is great... i absolutely love those 80s street racers. i have a 71 in my garage that i bought in 86 when i was 21, hoping to put it together once i retire at 65, six years from now.... yeah, your car looks and sounds great. would not change a thing !!
Nothin better then a 318. Bullet proof
Where are you running it since Atco closed?
Cecil county is the next closest track
Best part if you love it,it will fix itself.
RUN it's Christine
Nothing like sitting behind the wheel of your very own car. Except maybe, you know
Dodge swijnnngggaaaaaa 1970……
What size rear tire and wheel are you running? Looks great
15x9 with a 325-50 ET Street R
@moparnick thank you, Joe you do more videos on this car
Very cool insight to see your dusters first start. Kicked right over. The dusty duster is one straight faced ass kicker. That fireball cam. Big double pumper. Maybe glasspacs. Either way you set it. The duster is king.
