Taking delivery of a new to us 2012 New Holland CX5090 with a 20FT cut Varifeed header. The farm is at the bottom of a winding very narrow 2 mile long lane, which, on the last stretch the combine won't fit down, so we have to go around the neighbours field and then around the margin of our last field up to the farm.

Lovely tractor
Good to see a sensible size tractor on a 4 furrow reversible, ploughed a good bit with an identical plough on z 2wd JD 2140 only difference was i needed 2 sets of front weights. Why is these days they need a minimum of 160plus hp on 5 furrow when i managed perfectly well with a JD 3050. Doing a good job there.
Thank you and exactly, I posted a photo of this tractor ploughing on Facebook and had no end of people telling me that their 7610 can only pull 3 furrows and I’m on sandy land…. right. The 6610 hardly knew it was on in wet, heavy clay

Hello ! It looks like you have a tractor with Load Monitor a torqe sensor on the pinion !! Its a crazy ting i theory but lovely in reality!!
No it’s not fitted to this tractor, just assist ram for lifting

Nice one. Still beats me why people with modern tractors reckon they need 200 hp plus to pull 5 furrows, doesn't add up in my book.

Has that 6610 got a turbo or something extra ? I would have thought you'd need at least 20 hp more for that plough but she's pulling it like its nothing.

Interesting i Did Ploughing with a 7810 and the same size plough as that in 1st gear high and high dual power at 1800rpm.
Was watching a John deer with a 5 furrow plough on the field near mine . It was struggling and all wheels were scrabbing. Cant beat the old fords

Good work Sam. What gear and RPM are you working in? Ran a neighbours 6600 years ago never had anything to do with the 10 series.
Low range 3rd gear, high dual power at 1600 rpm. Hardly felt the plough on the back 💪
Great job , I was wondering if a four furrow plough would be too much for my 6610 but you have just answered that as yours coped well with one 👍

The field was hosting a ploughing match, i was just having a play with my new plough after it had finished

Tell thee what young Sam, you have done a cracking job there. No trash on the top, nice furrows and a very well set up plough. I am also impressed with how that 6610 2WD tractor handled the job, made it look easy. Well done!

Nice vid.. bit sticky ground there.. wish we could run a non auto reset plough.. we would keep the sheer bolt manufacturer going singlehandedly if we didn't use auto reset.. 😂.. stay safe 🏴
