Interesting alternate way to replace the thermostat. Factory Instructions tell you to remove the intake plenum and intake lower manifold off together as an assembly. Curious how long it took you to do the job the way that you did? I'm wondering if doing it your way may save time versus the factory recommended way?

I was there in 93 from Luke, 56 CS. 115 degrees and humid! I remember walking out of our apartment building and my sunglasses would fog up and started sweating. 135 degrees near the tarmac. In 93 we had a little pool and drank near beer. To see blue sky, look straight up!

Good tutorial, this is an insanely common problem on every single Ford that uses this shifter system. Replacing the bushings on the shift tube also helps fix this issue even more too.

Ok. What is the secret to getting the electrical connector off the old relay??Do you have to depress a clip, hold your mouth just right, say The Lord's Prayer, do it on cloudy days and just pull?????I can't get mine off without destroying it.

my 2012 cadillac cts premium is having engine overheating problems, the radiator fan is working, so I think the thermostat is the problem. When i sit still for more than 3 minutes, the A/C starts getting warmer and the engine temp starts rising. As long as I keep driving at least 30 mph, the wind cools the engine enough for cool A/C.. I guess im gonna throw 6$ at it for a new thermostat, and maybe try replacing it myself or see how much labor would cost. Nice video, helped me see what im getting into.

If anyone thinks this is hard to do try replacing the lower part of thermostat housing. The part where the heater hoses connect. OH MAN.

I have a 2010 cts a light pops up saying “engine hot Ac off” looked it up says to changed the thermostat, has anyone gone thru the same thing? Or had a P0128 code pop up?

Got the bolts off but can't get the piece out. Any tricks on getting it out. Feels stuck
