I just got 2 dozen and like them. Only thing I don't like is the crimp on it doesn't set level. But thats a easy fix. The first dozen 3 had baseplates the others were crimp ons. Its a great trap multi trap beaver, cat and coyote and otter.

Rookie here. I got 1 duke #4 and I was wondering if there’s any mods I can do to the trap to make leg breaks less likely? Could I tig braze a big wire to widen the jaw? Anyone do that? Is it necessary? I’m just worried about non target animals

That’s the first time I ever saw a double back foot catch. Crazy. I’m in West Virginia. Our cats typically are plain and ugly and 30 lbs is a big cat. Average for me is around 23lbs. I’m envious of how your cats look and the trapping ground you have. I’m still fighting sloppy mud here.
