Lovely piece of writing. Well narrated. Brings back memories as I was a telephonist. Words that you wouldn't hear nowadays "Retiring room"" used to laugh at that when I was 18 !!!
What a lovely surprise. A great story beautifully narrated.
Hi
I don't often take the time to comment on videos, but I need you to know that if being boring caused cancer, you'd light up like a Christmas tree on a CT scanner
Wow !! I have never seen this until now, it is beautiful I loved it, Jemser was our neighbour and friend. I worked on the air con at the automatic exchange and was familiar with the place and the people. Jemser not only captured the lonliness and fear of the night shift worker he also captured the feel and atmosphere of the exchange. Also beautifully narrated by Eoin Nevins another neighbour and friend, WELL DONE
A very emotive piece narrated beautifully ..... wow, haven't heard of 'telex' in years
Eoin, that is so evocative. Beautifully narrated. Thank you so much. Think you might have missed a 'calling'.
This is a a surprise! The late Jim and I spent many a night enjoying pints in the bars of Waterford..

Hi, I am having difficulty understanding the cummulative SRCOP in cases where a person started work later in the year, so for example week 10. Does his tax credits add up? where can I check this info? it doesn't make sense to me, but my tutor claims that's how it is. So no matter which week the person started working, his SRCOP and credits just keep growing? So he has the same tax credits as the person who worked since week 1 of the year!?
Andromeda, Your tutor is correct. The SRCOP is allocated for the year irrespective of when one starts working, so it will accumulate each week if unused. Hopefully this is of some help.
Thanks for the video, just started business studies and payroll seems so hard for me at the moment but this helped me a lot👍
