Who is the manufacturer of that front bumper
I wish I could tell you. When looking for a bumper, I ended up buying an OBS F-150 with this bumper, swapped the bumpers and re-sold the F150. The guy didn't I bought the truck from didn't know who made the bumper. I had a friend who welds add the cut outs and housing for the lights as well as the D-ring brackets. If I wagered a guess, the bumper looks like an old Buckstop bumper
I am not convinced that the OE relay is inadequate in some way. Did you do any tests that prove the glow plugs are drawing more current than the stock unit can provide? If you are having issues with blown relays, then I would suggest that's an indicator your glow plugs are starting to go and should be replaced. Just upgrading a relay could just be a bandaid that covers up the real problem.
I had replaced all 8 glow plugs (and the GPR and valve cover harnesses) about 10k miles before I did this upgrade. The replacement glow plugs were Motorcraft brand. So the replacement OEM GPR failed in about 10k miles. I have put 16k miles on the upgrade so far without issue. I agree that it would be a good idea to check the glow plug resistances before doing this upgrade. But all in all, this is a cost effective upgrade to remove the future probability of a common failure point (in my experience). Anytime a GPR fails on a 7.3, I upgrade to this one. Have it installed on my e99 as well.
Can somebody PLEASE tell me where I can find these same steps? I have a 97 f250HD, diesel, OBS and simply cannot find steps that will fit the truck. Bully steps offered today do NOT fit. Help, please…….
The listing for the Bully AS-200 steps available on Amazon state they fit Ford F-250/F-350 trucks from 1981 to 1998 www.amazon.com/Bully-AS-200-Polished-Aluminium-Multi-Fit/dp/B000BQLA2K?th=1
There’s no directions on mine for wire placement. Does wire location matter? I hav a 95 f350 thank u
How?!?! Mine is down piped and OPEN down pipes and still won't do it
How do you have the triple gauge wired up to display fuel pressure?
There is a pressure sensor reading fuel pressure at the fuel bowl. A Glowshift wiring harness that came with the triple gauge runs from the sensor and plugs right into the back of the gauge.
Can you tell me the average of all those gauges psi and temp
Coolant Temp when warm is 195 deg. F, Low oil pressure is around 40psi, but does drop some on my truck when idling warm. HPOP pressure varies with throttle/engine load
I am not even whelmed. Using a crescent wrench to do what should be done by a socket and box end wrench.
Absolutely. But if you're still building your tool arsenal (like I was at the time of this video) and you don't have a particular socket or wrench, don't let that keep you from getting the job done. If I were to do this same install today, I'd reach for a deep-well socket...but hey, nearly 7 years later and I haven't had to touch this sensor - so I'd say the crescent wrench did ok
@@diydiesel8897how has the mod held up...?
Mighty fine looking truck ya got there
Thanks! 👍
How far apart are those support holes??
That added horsepower at the end the sticker adds to the arrow dynamics
Good video , thanks. The Bully AS200 step kit I received from Amazon, the top plate and step holes did not line up. Had to modify it , and the screws are poor quality. But I don’t mind a bit of work for $400
nice 7.3 sounds great
Nice truck
Well done sir!!!!! And what a beast of an OBS you got there! 👊 Your video was concise and to the point...great lighting, and not overdone. Thanks! Getting mine ordered now.
Nice video. What winch bumper is that?
What kind of rims do you have bud those are the exact rims I wanna get my 94 f350
They are 16x8 American Racing Outlaw II (AR62) with the 8x6.5" bolt pattern
That's a great video right there. Thanks
How are these steps holding up? I just ordered
Holding up well after 4 years!
@@diydiesel8897 Are the steps doing any damage to the truck the way they are mounted. I think about flex on the rocker panel.
@@feelnrite No damage yet. I've put about 20,000 miles on the truck since installed. I'm not the biggest guy either though - under 200lbs
@@diydiesel8897that's my concern i saw how it flexed when you stepped on it. I may be wanting to load up some thick girls in my truck so i don't need them damaging my rocker panels 😂

which wires go were every video does not show where the correct wires go
Which wire is which on the new relay?
The two heavy gauge wires that feed current to the glow plugs go on both of the larger relay studs. The smaller wires used to trigger the relay go on each of the smaller relay studs. Beyond that, it doesn't matter WHICH large stud the large wires go to - just don't put them on the same stud :) ...same goes for the two small wires.
@@diydiesel8897 Thanks.
Hey! Where did you get that engine cover!?
It's a stock cover for the 94.5' Powerstrokes - I painted it International orange
@@diydiesel8897 happen to have another one for sale? Been trying to find cover for a 97 f250 7.3 cannot locate one.
@@austinmorgan9870If you’re still looking, I have one off a 94 f350 7.3
On the low pressure oil sensor how accurate are your readings
Hell ya brother! I'll be installing next weekend before I lift it 6 inches! Thanks for the vid!

the back is too long
Nice truck! have the same - single cab.
That gauge is awesome
I put in a new fuel pump on my 97 diesel It turns on and then cuts off Do you have any recommendations? Thanks
did you find what is wrong im having the same issue
Thanks a lot...
that second sensor you unscrewed with the connector, was that an aftermarket fuel pressure sensor? Or was that the icp sensor 7.3 noob here
Aftermarket fuel pressure sensor running to the gauge at the end of the video
Icp sensor on the head
A little grease on those hinges, please! Good video. Thank you.
Threadlock...
Do you know what is the difference in the amp ratings of the two relays?
they rip you off on shipping!!! keep it!!
Is there a specific way of connecting the wires? Or can it go either or?
Nice!
This is one badass truck man. Most of these old aeronoses are riced out. I like the vintage buckstop bumper on yours. Real Hoss of a truck man. Can’t wait to get a buckstop once they come out with one for a bullnose.
Thank you. A bullnose with a buckstop style bumper would be nice!!
Thank you for taking out the time to do this video and helping out others. I have been debating on what fog lights to get for my bobbed Deuce 1/2 I wanted amber ones for sure. This video sure helps. PIAA 520‘S are available on E-bay but ide like to get 540’s but a little more $ money. These look great thank you for you time and help.
Glad you found this helpful. I make videos like this to give anyone considering these lights a better idea of look/performance before making a purchase.
Best music for the finale!
Can you do a walk around video of your OBS and mods? Love your channel.
Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I will try to make that video!
This was very helpful.
I have a 1994 IDI factory ford turbo - does this work on the IDI or is this just for the power stroke?
I haven't worked on IDI's so I don't know if this would be a direct bolt-in option, or if mounting modification would be required.
Thx. Just ordered OEM Motorcraft to be safe
What lift kit do you have on it?
It's a 2.5" add-a-leaf kit from Tuff Country
I was told by a supplier of that relay that if I used it the engine cover would no longer be able to fit on. Did you have to modify the brackets or did it just go back on like normal?
In my case, no modification was needed. If you're installing this Stancor relay on an OBS truck, the engine cover will still fit if you orient the relay as I did. Hope this helps!
DIY Diesel thanks for the reply
is it the same for a 94 f150
Yes. It will be the same for 92'-96' F-150s.
Same for 80-96/97. There is little difference in that area of body metal for those years
My first diesel 95 F250 thanks to you I am learn a lot. Thank you for making these videos.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Nice job !! But aluminum strip you put on door jam . Do you need it to do job ?
Yes. If the bolts were tightened against the plastic door jamb, the plastic could crack. The aluminum plate spreads out the force on the bolts over a greater area.
