probably moderate waves maybe 3 feet tall but depends how big the earthquake is, 8.0 maybe 3 feet tall but 9.0 maybe 5-6 feet tall

I live in New Zealand, And i have Autually seen a tasnami warning broadcast on TV once back in about 2013, And it looked exactly like this with the map layout and the colours, The only difference with it was it was a window that only took up the bottom half of the screen, Not sure if that is something that is done all the time, Or weather it was a trial. They have also now introduced the early earthquake warning system to the mobile phone networks here, Apparently it only works for android phones at present, But i am sure that will change in time.

oh wow thats so cool then my mock up was some what unintentionally like the real thing. but seems cool that new Zealand have taken the steps to introduce the safety measures.

@@u.s.s.commanderalanmw9203 i think it would depend as the epicentre would be the main factor in how fast the wave travels, i think you could estimate that up to 20 minutes before waves come ashore in some locations so would be advised soon as you feel a shake that strong run.

Tones used: Custom alarm, EEW siren, NHK Temporary Broadcast chime, Japanese Tsunami tone.

@@K-Star_TN there's a clip somewhere of a live relay of a town after a eew was issued in Japan and NHK had a moment where the sirens were signalling the eew
