a year later did this fix your issue ? mines leaking in the same spot and i’m wondering if changing the hose clamp will fix it .

i dunno why but for me the Before cold start sounds more appealing. the After cold start sounds, i think the word is “raspy” instead of throaty….. either way it’s an awesome setup
I always thought those trims were just clipped to the door panel, no wonder they been giving me hell to take them out.
Came out great! Im thinking about red calipers myself...

Thanks bro. You can honestly knock it out in a few hours, however I took much longer because some of the bolts were rusted on there real tight. If I were to do it again I would spray down all the bolts everyday for at least 3 days prior to attempting to remove any of them with WD-40. And if you can the hangers holding the resonators and mufflers as well. But especially the bolts connecting the cats to the Y pipe those were the ones that gave me the most trouble. Another thing to note is that the Y pipe and the resonators came off as one whole piece. Maybe it was just my car but the bolts connecting those two pieces looked welded on lol. And of course the higher you can lift up the car the more room you can work on it comfortably. Good luck 👍🏼

Glad to find a video on this, I own a lexus is350 and I’m in the same boat.. Catback exhaust system around 1k and up… found this one for 700 for my lexus and I think I’m gonna pull the trigger… good video and car

I dont wanna be a hater but man this aint it, sounds way too deep (I guess if that's your thing that's good). I love that high pitch VQ tone personally. The G is clean asf though, rare 6mt and the paint looks great.
Good looking out bro I love the six speed and the mirror finish black paint 🙏🏻 personally I also love the high pitched vq sound but only on the 350/370s or the G coupes. I wanted to go with a more mature tone for my daily sedan as to not attract the wrong attention 📢🚔

Where you get the parts ?
I was going to get them brand new oem from www.infinitipartsnet.com/oem-parts/infiniti-trim-molding-809223wn0a but they’re pretty pricey for what they are so I actually picked mine up off Facebook market place from a salvaged G37. eBay is also a good option.
Hey man I just got this catback a few days ago and it is extremely quiet, i’m not sure if there was any packaging or something inside of the exhaust making it quieter but I’ve seen multiple vids and mine seems way quieter, off a cold start you can barely tell a difference from stock and only time you can hear it is when your in the higher rpm’s, i’m thing about getting test pipes to help solve this problem, I don’t think it’ll be too raspy. But just wondering if you’d had any idea why it’s so quiet
Damn that sucks to hear man, I know the exhaust itself isn’t the loudest but you did say you compared it to other ones so I can only imagine it’s some kind of factory default. My exhaust was hollow all the way through including the resonators and mufflers. Regardless, I think with a pair of test pipes it’ll sound better and louder, and hopefully no rasp like you mentioned since you did say it was way too quiet. Good luck man 👍🏼
I got the same kit for my coupe and I agree it's too quiet. Some high flow cats, long tube headers or test pipes will definitely open it up and give you the sound you're looking for.
