You can use any temperature settings starting from 270 to 380 degrees or even more , it's all about the technique that you are using not the temperature . But i mostly use 380 degrees as the optimal heat settings in reballing.

In order to replace a mic i set the temperature at 380 degrees and 60% air , and you will a good tweezer to pick the mic from it's base not from it's body.

sorry i didn't fully understand your question but i guess you are asking about my hot air station settings if so i hope you find the following answer helpful for you It depends on your hot air station , and what you are doing As an example my hot air station is quick 861dw , if i will use it to remove the glue.i will set the temperature to 270 and the air at 60% , if i will use it to desolder a cpu i will start by 270 heat and 60% air then i will shift to 380 heat and 60% air and the last stage i will raise the temperature to 400 to remove the cpu without the risk of ripping pads It really depends on what works the best for you , you need to try and error till you reach the optimal settings that work the best for you

The one i used in this video was new , however harvesting working IC from donor boards is a viable option too.

I'm not really sure what did you mean by the plate because there isn't any in the video, but i will walk you through what i have done , i placed the CPU on a paper towel the i placed the BGA stencil on the CPU and started to spread the soldering paste , you can get the stencils from any shop that sells mobile repair tools or you can get it from AliExpress, the stencil brand is called AMOE Hope this would help , if you still have any questions don't hesitate to ask

The blade under the microscope might look like a pocket knife 😅 but it's actually an exacto knife with a no.10 blade

@@DaBuzz92 thank you for your observation and advice 👍 however the socket is completely laying flat on the board it was just slightly shifted to the right as you can see at the 38sec and i corrected that at the end of the video , heating the baord from the othet side will put the CPU at risk .

@@pablopicasso6173 thank you for your advice regarding the use of scotch-brite , sadly it's not available where i live , is it some kind of a cleaning chemical ? I'm using the following method to remove oxidisation from BGA chips, put some flux on the BGA chip and apply some soldering paste " no need to be freshly picked out the container you may use left overs from previous repairs " then spread the paste on the IC using a Qtip while applying heat with the hot air this will work like a sharm 😉.

@@VDD_MainRepairs Plumbers use something similar to Scotch-Brite for copper pipes cleaning before soldering. Check it :)

Sometimes when everything looks really bad, I'm using soldering acid. It's phosphoric acid or hydrochloric acid.

Thank you for your suggestion , i'm working on adding the multimeter readings in the upcoming repairs that haven't been recorded yet.
