I still think this is one of the best concerts I ever been to
MAN ALIVE IS THAT GOOOOOOOD OR WHAT ?
Wet willie opened for grand funk summer 74 in hampton rhoads colliseum virgina the willettes sang back up to mark doing the locomotion
My man Jimmy hall since 74/ i saw him with Wet Willie/ and solo many times
Did anyone notice the fabulously talented Rami Jaffee on keys. Now a permanent member of the Foo fighters And rock and roll hall of fame. Spectacular show.😍🧡🙏
great
Steel guitarist Robert Randolph
God Bless Jimmy Hall and his mighty. mighty family!
Beautiful❤
Wow so much talent on One stage
HOT DAMN!!
Wow
welcome, Vince Gill and Zac Brown. y'all have also join Gregg Allman's everlasting road walk travelling journey forever and ever.
HODDAMIGHTY !!!!!
We drove down w hopes of buying tickets out front. Scalped by some pos fatass bastard. Live & learn..he'll get his.
Jimmy Hall from Wet Willie. In the summer of 1975 the Super Dome in New Orleans was opened for their first event. I was there. They opened with Wet Willie. Then Charlie Daniels played followed by Marshall Tucker. The closing act of course was The Allman Brothers. It started at 4:00 PM. It was still going at 4 AM. the next morning when I left. Something I will never forget.
I was there!
Anyone else notice that the lyrics are a complete contradiction? First it describes the person telling the story losing what he HAD, but then says you can't lose what you NEVER had! Still love it.
Mind blowing level of talent on stage here, mind blowing.
lol
Epic /////////////////..............,
Nicely done!
Not one comment here mentioned the legendary and multi-talented Jimmy Hall. His voice alone stands miles above the rest. Such an under-rated singer.
Like Charlie Daniels said about Jimmy,,,Jimmy got more soul in his little finger than Mick Jagger got in his whole body !!!!!!!!!!!
Gregg Allman said that "Jimmy Hall is the hardest man to follow on stage that he ever worked with". He said that "it can, and has, been intimidating for other performers". Jimmy Hall is one of the great singers/multi-instrumentalists in music.
On top of being the consummate showman, Jimmy is also one of the most genuinely fine gentlemen in the world.
this is the first time Ive heard this guy and man he can sing! I cant wait to see what else is on youtube with this dude
The real deal!
Here we go!!!...:)O(:...
The sound quality is exceptional!!!...:)O(:...
Thank you SO much for this! One of my favorite all-time tunes . . goosebumps at this lineup!
Robert Randolph is amazing, Derek Trucks is amazing, Warren Haynes is amazing Susan Tedeschi is amazing, Jackson Browne is amazing, John Hiatt,is amazing.. Dr John is amazing .... well you get the gist... and Mr Gregg All man is, what can I say that hasn't already been said ? America loves Gregg Allman.
Were they amazing?
Chuck Leavell is super amazing. The Allman Brothers, his band Sea Level , and a stint with Pink floyd.
this bass player is awesome
Thank you for this. He sounds incredible, doesn't he? Still kickin' ass!!
Considering what all he has been through the last few years, YES, he sounds excellent! I'm happy he's still kickin' butt and taking names!
Really Amazing!
Fantastic!
Can I get a witness !!
Is that jack pearson in the back row he's great
Oh hell to the yes!
love it that the circle is unbroken...taj's version of this inspired abb's version and now back atcha. thanks for posting PS Duane is a Guitar God.
Vince Gill can go toe to toe with any of these guitar players!
Its shame he doesn't get more credit... just like Dickie Betts! Now Vince gets to kill with the Eagles...
Thanks Dave for this was magical
nice
Absolutely lovely !
Sweet
Thanks for posting, Dave. It looks like it was one Hell of a show. It brings back a lot of memories from seeing the original ABB back in the late 60's & early 70's. Peace.
I'm sure that Gregg's healed hernia has also led to his dramatic vocal recovery. Who could project with a hernia? Many singers would have taken time off to recover. You go Gregg. And as for me Gregg, well, as you wrote in These Days, "don't confront me with my failures", because, yes, I have my own character flaws to deal with. And Gregg, look to God/Christ Jesus for some of the answers for coping with this life.
Gregg is projecting his voice like I haven't heard in years. For this song he's might be over projecting. This stands in sharp contrast to years of his having to under project. His voice had almost been silenced to whispers, compared to what he used to be able to bring out in his voice. It's rather remarkable that Gregg has healed inside to such an extent to where he can just belt out a song once again. I thought that surely, the rumors of Gregg being in a much improved voice were greatly exaggerated. But from this video, which is not even a week old, it does indeed sound like Gregg is getting back to his "A" game. It's a shame that one of the best male singers alive had to vocally deteriorate as Gregg did. I hope Gregg gets many more years to vocalize as only he has been able to now for many decades. It'll be a great loss when Gregg's voice leaves this world. Take care of yourself Gregg. I hope you continue for many more years now after the ABB with your band and your many friends.
I could not make this concert because of my night class. Thank you so much for sharing! Made my night:)
Saw Gregg and his band two days before this event down in Sarasota...what a musical treasure that man is!
Smokin!!
Cool! Robert is awesome but not the first to put effects on the steel. I saw the great Herb Remington using distortion and other effects over 25 yrs ago in Houston, TX!
Sneaky Pete from the Flying Burrito Brothers used distortion and effects on the pedal steel nearly 50 years ago!
Was a great concert! A blast to be a part of.
Thanks Dave love this I was there
Thank you, Bigdaveonbass! I'm watching your other videos from the show, and having a great time!
