I took a second charge after this train seeing it would be sunny and I had a free day. I love the look of the Citi Rail paint, so I had to take the opportunity to capture the unit in good sunlight. Train A450 runs southbound originating in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and terminates in Green Bay Wisconsin and travels along the Manistique Sub. Chase date was January 9, 2022.

CN pretty much shut down its operations in Thunder Bay, but they sure went hog-wild in Duluth/Superior! When I lived in Duluth I didn't live too far from where much of your footage was shot. Coming and going to town I got to see almost a constant flow of oil trains, container trains, taconite trains - including those being pushed up the hill - mixed freight trains, etc. It's no wonder that they had to double track that section. The project was ongoing when I first moved there in 2015 and completed not too long after.

In sagola Michigan they have Louisiana Pacific that they serve and on the south and they have quite a few customers I believe but I'm not 100% than that Louisiana Pacific is shut down right now they're doing a change over to do a different kind of wood product so it's kind of slow right now they're only going to crivitz two or three days a week and that'll be until spring they also do a lot of storage cars for other railroads and private companies a lot of the two-Bay covered hoppers that are used for transporting sand or cement used in the construction industry

Great video. Liked the shots with the tunnel motors. Could you help me out or put me in touch with someone who knows about modern DMIR operations? Im heading up in May and I wanted to catch the BLE tunnel motors. Could you give me some info on what trains they get assigned to and where/when they go on duty? I assume proctor yard on the ore drags but given its a 14 hour drive I dont want to make any assumptions. Also is there a good facebook group or something for tracking movements?
